How long until there are discounts on the Z06?
I was getting ready to place an order for a Z51 2LT at credit union pricing, but it seems like the Z06 is the much better buy.
To get the 2LT Z51 with magnetic ride and auto, it's going to cost over $60k. With the Z06 obviously you don't need the Z51, and I believe magnetic ride is standard.
At credit union pricing a base auto Z06 would be about $75k. Clearly it's worth an extra $15k to get an extra 200hp and the better looking car by far.
How long will it probably be until we can order one under a discount program? I know the C6 Z06 eventually made it in. I know some dealers are discounting in-stock manuals but that doesn't do much good when the sticker is north of $100k from unwanted options.

I agree with Too-Fast. Left over 2015's will bring the prices down and maybe even some rebates. Even a hard 2015-2016 winter will bring Corvette prices down.

I'm in the process of reverting my GT500 back to stock to trade in into the dealer.
I'm going to be placing an order for a 2015 and told I should have it in Late May, early June. Do you guys think I should hold out for the 2016's, but probably wouldn't receive that until September. Do you think the 16's will have a price increase? If so, by how much?

I just sold my GT500 and 03 Cobra to get a Z06. I have a CTSV coupe currently as well. I'll tell you this. Every GM car I have bought over the last 10 years. Including (2 vette's, G8 GXP, CTSV, Camaro SS, Volt ,WS6) etc etc was all at supplier pricing. This Z06 will be no different. I had to wait on all of them to be available for supplier pricing. Took about 9-16 months but I'm sure by winter of 16 you will be able to. Price increase will happen say maybe 1500 here and 1000 there but you will get 11-13k off depending on options with supplier or GMS. If you can wait, take ur money and buy Apple stock and wait 6-10 months. You will make a return and get a cheaper car. There is only so many people who can and will buy a 100k GM product. So far about 4000 people have and 2000 more waiting. Once 10,000 of these things are out the door supply will stack up.
Bowling green will not want slow down and discounts come. Works same way for Ford. When I bought my 03 new and Shelby recently they told my 10k market adjustment. I waited less than a year got 03 for A plan pricing and dealer hold back. The shelby was even better. Almost 8k off. Patience and being smart with you money is always wise.
I would of wanted a 08 or 09 Z06 way more that the first year c6 Z06 anyways. Huge improvements and with discounts was a much better deal.
GM and dealers want to make the money while they can. Even sting ray was not available for discounts till about 11 months ago. I'm surprised the ATS V is available right of bat tho. New CTSV is not available yet like Z06. Patience, patiance if you can.
Just my .02 cents

It was just a short time ago that the Sting Ray's were all selling at a premium, $5K over MSRP, etc. now they are discounting the heck out of them...just wait, it will come.

There have bunches of folks here looking for discounts, this info would be helpful to the masses.
Thanks

I know what you meant but at no point since introduction did "All Stingray's" sell for $5K above MSRP. Most sold for MSRP until the discounts started.

I got a significant discount off of mine from a friend to friend deal. I can't disclose my dealer since it was a one off. Discounts can be had. You have to budget hours making calls and searching. Why not just buy a car with less than 3k on the clock? And you will get 3-10k off the msrp and still get the new car smell.
