Shark Gray With Painted Louvers
I really like how the painted louvers tone the car down. The Z06's styling is already pretty exotic so I thought all the black plastic trims around vents and louvers were overkill and made the Z06 a bit too in-your-face. I realize that this is just my opinion and that's all that counts when it comes to my car, so if you love all your high-contrast black trim on your cars, I'm happy for you so there's no need to flame me for expressing my opinion, OK?
If you like the way my car came out, I welcome your compliments. If not, please feel free to exercise your Fifth Amendment Right to remain silent.

I too had a difficult time with the rectangular black vents, etc. on the car. And changed my order several times as it just didn't look right.
Ended up with a Black, black vents, which provides the mono-look.
I will be highlighting the ground effects and maybe the vents with some dark red to provide some visibility against all the black.

I think it looks great. I had the same issue-I have a Z06 in SG with Kalahari interior TPW 3/9 being built and I went around and around about painting the vents and finally decided not to because I am getting the silver painted wheels and needed the contrast and because I did not know what to do the the rear fascia that is black. With the spectra gray wheels you have the contrast so the painted vents look really nice. I am confident that the lines of the car show well with all the color combinations but it seems that shark gray has taken the lead as of now as the color of choice, at least among those of us watching this thread. Enjoy your new car.

I think I like it better. I also think they should offer body color back spoiler and body color lower rear section as well. I guess its ok to have bit of black on the top back fender grills on the hood and on the side lower inlet scoop. On my 08 z06 ordered some Racemesh grills in Black Chrome that thought looked really sharp . I didn't put them on my car just saw pictures of them on other cars. sold the car and still have them in a box.

Great look. Well done. Is it just me (look out for flames) or is the Z06 spoiler a bit over the top? For me a standard Z51 body color spoiler for everyday use and the Z06 spoiler for track days makes more sense. Also, I see the Z06 spoiler spoiler as a target for vandalism.
Is a switchable spoiler a reasonable possibility?

I think thats why I ordered black . Other colors look great but a little over the top for me with the black contrast.(Full disclosure I'm over 60 )LOL
Painted vents look more sophisticated IMO. I think we will see a lot more like yours.
I'd love to see other colors done.

I agree that the Z06 spoiler is a bit over-the-top and prefer the Z51 spoiler, but I'm not planning on painting it. The only modding I have planned is to add a leather Caravaggio horn pad and maybe change the Z on the side vents to yellow.
And, I do understand the right not to self-incriminate but thought it added a little levity so I left it in.
Thanks for the nice comments, folks!

Had it on order and changed since there was no pics or build ability.
Went the safe route, but I think the sg vents on a black are a far cry from black vents on a bright colored car.
I think it would look fine but I decided to go black with red highlights rather than black and gray/silver highlights.

Personally speaking, I would match the spoiler with the body color, especially a stage one as this car appears to be.
IMO a stage 1 aero is the easiest to match body color with, then if the owner decides they want more aero they can go with aftermarket skirts, splitter (and defuser if all are done in CF).
To bad they do not offer caliper colors to match other body and interior colors available on the C7ZO6............... for some reason GM remains stuck behind the 8-ball on this

Wondering, did you get the carbon fiber dash ? If so, could you post pictures ?
