That being said this will likely be the only time this year they open up the track to us general public people.

More importantly is while I am a fan of all cars ( as you can see I've been on this board for over 10 years with 7 Corvette's in my past) I'm hoping to put an end to the GTR's bragging rights. Not going to happen with non DR's. Even with DR's it is going to have to be a hell of a run but I fully believe it is doable. Plus DR's are easy enough for any of us to get on the car to even up the odds in the traction department without modifying the major drivetrain. The only thing that would be better than watching the mighty Godzilla fall would be to watch it fall to a couple cars. The Z has the potential to do it too so get on board guys! If we both have DR's then we are evened up again. No advantage to anyone. All motor at that point.
All the racing they could take off the streets if they'd just open up to the public regularly. It's a shame really.

I know it's amazing. He's got a ton of money into that awesome track and could make a fortune with just doing the test and tunes. But that money may be the problem. He doesn't really need any more lol!

And it really is a great facility too. Some of the best paving work going, and is most of the time one of the quicker tracks on the NHRA circuit.

The guy is an amazing promoter when it comes to the Nascrap events. Hell he made a hell of a gimmick with 4 lanes for a dragstrip.
Yet he keeps missing the obvious.

Whats the cost for this event? Also is their a cap on participants. Dont want to haul two cars 8 hrs only to get 1 run in.

Looking for sponsors to put drag radials on zo6.

Maybe the car media would be interested in coming. Someone find us a tire sponsor. The car mags could benefit from the story they should pay for the tires. I got the vette and viper. Other 2 cars are taking care of.

Its totally stock. One of very few Nismo's that exist in the U S. They are only bringing 25-50 cars here for 2015 and 2016. Only had one pass on it so far at our 1/8th mile strip. Was a 6.90 cant remember the speed. Should be pulling high 10's.

Lawdogg the event is pretty much unadvertised. Since the 1/4 mile strip is so rare here not sure of the turnout but my gut says likely high. Just don't know for sure. From the mopar club there are 40 people saying they are coming but don't know if they are running or spectating.

And it's $20 per car. Labeled as a standard test and tune.

Oh man!!! I would absolutely love to participate in this fun, but our Z has been accepted into the Amelia Island event that weekend. If for some strange circumstances that something changes in either event please count me in. I was recently begging for a Hellcat to run with my Grand Sport, but they just weren't any takers at the time. As for the drag radials I think the ones I used on my GS will fit my Z, but I haven't had an opportunity to test fit them. If they won't I'll need a "sponsor" for some. I agree that we should use them, these cars are making some decent power so it's just safer.

GTR is mine and I will be there to run. its a bone stock 2015 NISMO on stock runflat tires.

here is my 1/8th runs in it that should play out to be a 10.79-10.84@127 1/4 based to how well I know these cars. my 2012 ran a 10.95@126 at Zmax with a 7.0 1/8th and poor 1.69 60ft

so that is the deal with my NISMO it launches more tame than my other ones so the surface prep isnt as critical. that means end of the day it is gonna run a mid to low 10.8 every time and if the car beside me hellcat or Z06 or whatever can beat that congrats if not I win simple as that. im more excited to see cerino200's hellcat vs a Z06 because minus the DR's its a more evenly matched race

****disclaimer due to the recent tragic recent events if mentioning the NISMO in a competitive fashion in this forum gets this thread moved to "other cars".... my bad*****

How many runs? I could probably zip on down. Only 4-5 hours for me. I wouldn't be running DR's though.
