Default Suede Steering Wheel

Has anyone seen a suede steering wheel anywhere for our cars? I have one on my racecar & love it. Thanks! 👍

You mean other than the factory option (N26) suede steering wheel?

Oh snap! Gm has this option? I thought my car would come with one with the upper suede trim option. I also thought the shifter would be suede as well.

Choosing the suede steering wheel and shifter requires selecting the competition seats. Can't get the former two items without the latter.

True, but presumably there's a PN for the factory one that one can buy and swap to no?

I love mine, got it ordered with it. You could always just find out what the part number is and purchase one from a GM parts warehouse

The suede wheel had to be ordered separately when you ordered the comp. seats. Your dealership parts store has it; part#23491490. My dealership charges $415 (Corvette club member discount) - they'll install it, for a charge. Presumably you could sell yours to a C7 owner?

To get the steering wheel and shifter you had to order the suede seat inserts on the competition seats. A few colors like red you could not get the suede inserts therefor no suede wheel and shifter.

I love mine especially while tracking.

Sir, I didn't mean to offend you. I like that suede steering wheel option on the c7. I have good memories of grand-dad's LTD with the walgreen's suede steering wheel cover. That was my first car - a hand me down when i turned 16. My girlfriend back in the day appreciated that steering wheel cover. It offered protective padding for her head when she was doing lap duty.

Don't these two items; the Suede Steering wheel and the suede inserts in the Comp Seats come standard with 3LZ?

It has nothing to do with whether you have 3LZ. You can get it with 1LZ, 2LZ, or 3LZ if you order it right.

What matters is (a) you order competition seats and (b) you order the sueded seating surfaces on the seats and (c) you did not choose blue or red interior because (b) is not an option with blue or red.

The Order Guide is a valuable document for understanding the available options. Download a copy from the stickies in C7 general, and you will be better informed than many salesmen.
