He would probably have been there with -2500 DA and the 670RWHP bump.

Sorry guys, but 9 seconds is impressive to me even if the car has 1000 hp.....I wouldn't know. And most of the racers or of those who like drag racing probably could tell you the same. So what I am trying to say is, without knowing the horsepower 9 seconds is fast.

Seriously....why post something so foolish? Put a large enough blower on any motor and it can run in the 9's. Do you honestly expect a stock C5 short block with hypereutectic pistons to last any length of time if the motor is making enough HP to run faster than low 9's? If you do, you really are knowledge challenged.....the LT4 has forged pistons and at the power level required to run in the 9's this is a non-issue.

Let me guess.....you're still having trouble to adjusting to the rear tail light design as well

agreed………..a 9 sec pass for a street legal car is mighty quick. My point is with the numbers(HP & Trq) that it supposedly makes, would easily run much better in a car that was set up to do so.

FWIW, I campaigned a car for five years that was street legal and the best I ran was low 10's @ 132-133 mph (that was with slicks and open exhaust) on a motor making 712 HP (462 ci N/A)

Regardless, I'd be looking at his taillights for sure !!

Agreed, considering there are still only a hand full of C7 Corvettes(built at LMR) in the 9s and they have been out for over a year and a half now and this is the first Z(LT4) to get there. Again, great work guys. Some people have no clue what it takes to drive a manual car in the 9s.
When the Autos come out, it will make it much easier for the average racer.

My reply was an irrelevant reply to another irrelevant post but you could drive cross country with the wife. Show me any RWD car that can run 8's in the same trim as it would on the road course lol. Coming in trying to discredit this achievement is stupid.

Your fastest 6-speed video still gives me goosebumps. Between you and Fartpipe, I consider you both driving mentors. I hope this week to fix a couple of bugs with the car and make her go a little faster.

There is a small amount of due that can be added through the "FPCM". I will be testing that this week

According to airdensityonline.com which we check throughout the night, the air actually got worse as the night went on. The humidity went way up and the DA was around 400 at around 10:30pm compared to -250 the previous week.

So with the ET and MPH approaching crazy fast numbers, how do the tracks feel about appropriate safety equipment? Roll bars? Shoulder harness? To name a few.............????
