Greetings Friends,

It's really interesting to see the evolution of the Z07 Rear Spoiler from Pre-Production to Post-Production.

They were'nt kidding when they stated they needed more DOWNFORCE

Evolution? ... you can't capture evolution with two pictures.

Even the retarded ape to human evolution "diagram" has more than two pictures...

I want my click back.

Looks like Stage 1 base vs Stage 2/3 spoilers.

It looks to me like the pre-production is taller than stage 1. Interesting. Thanks Corvett_Nut.

Interesting!

For even more comparison, here's a Stage-1 Post-Production...

Here's a Stage-3 Z07 at the Miami Int'l Auto Show last Nov.... Pre-Production:

At one time the stage 1 spoiler was going to be the same as the Stingray Z51 spoiler.

Interesting...the Yellow pre-production car looks like it has a Stage 1 splitter WITH a Wickerbill. Both versions look great.

Looks like it but the yellow pre-prod car has a a pair of wicker bill spoilers that never made it into normal retail production. My Stage 1 clearly has shorter wicker bills than the yellow pre-prod one. While the production Stage 2's/3's clearly have wicker bills that are much taller than the ones on the yellow pre-production unit.

In short as Corvette_Nut revealed by comparison, GM increased the wicker bill height from on all S2/S3 versions in order to create more downforce.

That makes sense. It does look right between the two eventual production sizes.

I'm not sure we are both using the word Wickerbill in the same way...I was just referring to the clear plastic part in he middle whereas you seem to mean the Black fin style extensions on both sides.

Correct, I meant the extensions on the L & R ends... thus the overall spoiler height increased on S2/S3s. The clear center wicker looks to still be the same dimensions.

Wow...I was at Detroit during the release of Z06/7...I never realized the growth that existed with the post production spoiler. I remembered my eye/mind thinking, "damn that Z07 spoiler looks agressive" on these new cars...now I know why.

I think they made a great choice not using the Z51 wing on the stage 1, which is what they initially announced. That Z07 spoiler is serious...
