No point in going back and forth I just think it's odd to cancel an order for a car you never drove to see if you like or don't like it. Do you track and race your ZR1 quite often???

I was on the waiting list over the past year, and over the course of that time changed my mind. It happens I guess. No, not presently I don't. Which is exactly why I sold the Camaro I had built into a drag car. It only ran 9s before I took it off the road, so not too fast compared to nowadays. Careers/relocating tend to get in the way of hobbies and the things you enjoy sometimes.

Plenty of members have posted that they traded or sold their ZR1 for the C7 Z06 and have zero regrets. That the C7 is simply the better car. I myself could have bought a nice mint used C6 ZR1 or a brand new 2015 C7 Z51 and I drove both and went with the C7 and adore it. Sure the ZR1 is faster but I use the car as a fun weekend car and occasional trip to the track. Base C7 A8 cars have gone 11.3 at 123mph. Not too shabby and I would not ever trade my Shark Gray Z51 for a C6 of any model.

My personal C6 Zo6 seller's remorse. I hated the new C7 stingray when it came out compared to my supercharged c6 Zo6. To me, mine looked better and was a monster at the track, on the road and on the dyno. No one out ran me, even the few bikes that tried, but when the new zo6 was being made it caught my eye. I ordered it and sold my c6 beast. When I picked the new C7 Zo6/ zo7 up it was beautiful and I drove it 140 miles home. It was smaller inside and the competition seat was very hard. After studying the car for a few days and running it a little after it broke in I decided that I had made a mistake. I found a beautiful low mileage ZR1 at my dealer to trade it for. I drove the car back 140 miles and after getting out of the car I said to myself, the car is okay as far as the smaller interior but the seat wasn't my favorite yet. I grabbed the keys to the ZR1 and around the block I went expecting something close to my old blown c6 Zo6. Well, it was nice, but nowhere near the power of my old c6 and it was a far cry from the ride, braking and handling of the c7 zo6 zo7. I took it back and jumped in my C7 and I liked it. It's like new shoes. You have to wear them some and be seen in them. Afterwards, you will not go back to a c6. As far as power, I would love to go from a roll against any stock ZR1, because this C7 zo6 zo7 is fast. Maybe the zo7 is a tad quicker with the lighter rotors and tires. That my two cents worth.

Actually you make a good point about VIR. I forgot they redid that track so yes those comparisons would not really be fair. I guess only time will tell is the Z06 is the better track car but my gut says yes. I also remember the "makes the ZR1 feel sluggish" comment but was that really someone from GM or was that Corvetteforum born

It's what he's supposed to say though. I get it, he's promoting the next thing from Corvette. Granted, it is a complete monster, but I think he handled it poorly by over-hyping the car.
Maybe most people don't care though. That was originally the statement that irritated me and prompted my whole "prove it" attitude.
Oh well
Glad you're enjoying your stingray
Yeah, that little gem was really irritating too

Stopped at a car show with my ZR1 several C7's there. Mine was the only ZR1. Which will be out number's too by 2015 Z06's in about another month.
Stock ZR1's have run 10.6 at 132.95 bone stock. Would not trade a C7 for a ZR1. I use all my cars for weekend fun cars. Adding the Z06 to the stable soon.

Then which one goes not either of the Z06's ?

I think they hit the ball out of the park with the looks of the C7 for sure and I'm a RED sports/muscle car fan but that SG is extremely attractive color for sure......

I would rank the ZR1 ahead of the C7. I sold my C7. Kept both my C6 Z06 & ZR1. C7's are frankly becoming a dime a dozen.
