Given the fact that they all sell cars for a living, maybe they're onto something. I assume they know their market and can get these markups.

I find it as offense as everyone else, and wouldn't do business with them, but I'm guessing there is a reason they let someone walk out the door who was not willing to pay the premium. Like Southern California, that's a very wealthy area with consumers that have money to burn willing to pay a $10k convenience charge to buy locally.

When I tell friends I bought my Z in Atlantic City they think I've lost my mind. They have no idea how this market works.

I just ordered mine last week Tampa FL and paid 2K under MSRP with Stingray Chevrolet.....So he must not have that many allocations... That's my guess..

2k under...nice. Was/is there a dealer fee?
Funny thing is they had an unsold z vert in the showroom, but I guess for 10-20 over may explain why it's still there.

30 units on e-bay last time I looked. They should have took the money, unless they just do not get good allocation.

--Just looked, make that 42 now on e-bay, let alone other places like auto trader and such......

Sounds like they are looking for the proverbial sucker that is born every minute. You can purchase a car in Alaska for MSRP and ship it back to FL and still beat their price by huge amount.

Discounts/lower prices are already available at some dealerships. Jon Hall Chevrolet in Daytona Beach has 4 Z06's on their lot, and they called and told me Friday that on 3 of them they would negotiate below MSRP.

Check book in hand and not on a fishing expedition ? They'll deal unless the dealership is dumb. And yes, there are still some out there like that.

I live right next to the OP's dealer (the "sister store" in Coconut Creek) and there is a reason they call them Lou Backstab...

Although I don't have a C7 Z06- it would be the last place i'd go to buy one, let alone allow them to work on my C6...

Default Wow

Paying over window sticker is just silly.

Wait a year and you will see $10,000 discounts if you know how to buy.

No other hidden fees...just the standard fees for taxes...plates and such.....now in the quote I had a 1300 Gas Guzzler Tax...wasn't happy about that....nothing the dealer could do he said. the Manuals don't have that just the A8's....

There are dealerships that have them in stock discounting 1 to 3k off sticker.

Buy one somewhere else and have it shipped to you.

The Chevy website builder shows the GG Tax in the summary page but when you add up all the options etc, the GG Tax is NOT included in the final grand total for the M7.

Try it, build a base Z06 or a fully optioned one and use your own calculator to tally it all up... compare your total and you'll see that the final sum in the online builder does not include the GG Tax for M7 Z06's...

Here's an example...

Thanks to all again.

It's amazing, there's some dealers that have unsold Z's on their lots and want 10-20 over because you don't have wait, and others that have them will discount because they're on their lots and unsold.
