What would you do?
I received the call today from my dealer telling me that I am up for my long awaited A8! Now I must make the difficult decision as to what car must leave the stable to make room for it. I have an 09 Z with 20K miles (GMPP through 8/15) and my 57 Chevy which I've owned for 23 years and restored several years ago. Both are great cars and fulfill different needs but my room is limited so one must go. Pretty tough decision, any thoughts?

Say goodbye to that 09 man! The new Z is a full blown upgrade in every way!

That's one sweet 57 Chev that has to be the nicest color I've ever seen on one of those cars...IMO you'd be crazy to let the 57 go and the fact you've had it for 23 years would for me say by by to the Vette..you are getting another Vette to replace it so you'll still be able to enjoy your blast from the past in the 57 and still enjoy the new Vette so you have the best of both worlds right there JMHO......I mean it that 57 is without doubt beautiful!!.....

Tough decision, I have an old chevy as well (1966 Chevy II) my first car I have owned for forty years and mine just sits in the corner. It just has too much sentimental value to let it go, but I really do not enjoy it anymore. So if you are not too attached to the 57 I would keep the Z06, I just enjoy the Corvettes too much they are comfortable, run great, and are pretty much maintenance free. Plus I think it would be very cool to have a C6 and a C7 Z06!
Best of luck whichever way you go!

Kept my 63 and 79 vettes and sold my 05 vette to make room for the new z...so I agree with everyone else. Selling the c6 will only sting for a little while! Speaking from experience, once you drive the new z, you'll have no regrets on keeping the classic and upgrading the c6 to c7z.

Hell to the no...I wouldn't part with the 57. The C6 Z would be gone as soon as the garage door opened.

By all means keep the 57 Chevrolet. It is a classic that will continue to increase in value through time. The 09 Vette is a nice vehicle, but it will never have the classic car cachet of the 57.
