Tip delivery driver?

Melting Slicks
Mine was delivered today and I tipped the guy only because when I told him his planned delivery time wasn't very convenient he started his day much earlier than he planned to get the car to me early.

Burning Brakes
My dealer paid for the 40 minute transport and may have already tipped him. But when he arrived, he was extra careful and knew exactly what to do (and not do) to keep the car unscathed. And it wasn't easy! So I tipped him a small amount, $20.

If the car is coming to a dealer from BG as a normal delivery, I wouldn't think a tip is necessary. If you arranged the shipping yourself and are satisfied with the service provided, then tip away.

Tips are gratuity
If you are grateful for the service rendered and would like them to take care of you again in the same manner........ then tip them and do it right with at least 15%

How much do you tip driver when you buy a new car? Just curious. If you aren't at the dealer when it's delivered do you still get his name and address and send the money?
if someone was delivering a car to my house I would probably tip $100-200 but paying the commercial drivers coming from BG to the dealer more, I didn't feel was cheap he acted rather surprised I was giving him anything,, certainly didn't seem like he expected it.

Thank you for the replies...
Mine is being shipped thru the Intercity from New Hampshire to California and the driver has communicated with me the whole time... So I think I will do the 15% thing on the $2000 tab.
Thanks Guys.

Had many cars shipped, always tip. I'd say 100$ if all is good with the car. You never know, may need transport in the future, can't hurt. Also, how much you think the guys getting paid to transport your 100K car?
