Thanks everyone! I'm planning on doing the 1st service tomorrow and once I get a few more miles on it
I will start driving it a bit more aggressively, and report back additional thoughts

It was advertised as the "most track capable" Vette ever, not high gear roll-on King.

What is a "roll race?"
I'm a C7 owner but have never raced. I'm not familiar with this term, is it drag racing from a rolling start? Why can't the new Z06 "roll race?" It's got plenty of HP, sticky tires, etc. My C7 has a very slow throttle response and bogs down when I'm trying to accelerate onto the freeway. Also, I'm greatly troubled by how slowly the engine revs when I'm stomping the gas pedal. Does a "tune" correct this? My 1964 Stingray with 327 c.i. and 350HP used solid lifters and would rev instantly. Are the new series of GM engines only designed for fuel economy? Is there an after market solution to getting more "pep" from the LT1? And finally, is this issue why the Z06 won't roll race?

That red car looks great! Although, the lighting in the pics do help to make the black wheels pop. Usually they are hard to see, typically why I don't care for black wheels. Lowering the car from it's factory off-road setting helps a ton...

I agree with OP, this is the most fun car I have ever owned. I have two other friends in Charlotte with c7 z06 s and they both love their cars. I believe that anyone who drives this car will love it. As stated before, I have been very fortunate to own almost every car discussed here( c6 z06, c6 zr1, viper, porsche 911, bmws, ferrari, etc). This is definitely the most fun I have ever had yet with a car. I don't believe there would be any haters if they drove this car.

I just took delivery of my 2015 Z06 yesterday. Torch red 3lz M7 chrome wheels but OEM satin black cup wheels with winter Pirellis mounted for the late fall to early spring . Love the look either way. I have very little experience with Covettes or any high performance cars but I am amazed at every aspect of this car. I had some concerns reading some of the reports but DRIVING the car will put it all to rest. Excellent post OP and could you tell me where the dragon is located. It will be a destination drive this summer or early fall.

GTSNRT10 looks like you have had a nice stable over the years and have the same attitude towards cars that I have. I was wondering by chance if you have owned a 991 911S, if so I would love to hear your comparison between the two. I currently have a 991s and have been thinking about trading her in on the new Z06. Dealer currently isn't allowing test drives on the two in stock, so i have nothing to go off of right now. I have driven the C7 and it felt very good not quite as good as the 911 but very close, this is in regards to brake pedal, steering and throttle feel. The one complaint I had with the Z51 was that it didn't seem like the throttle was very linear and there was a large dead spot in the begging of travel. Was this fixed with the Z06 or any subsequent Dealer ECU updates? Also does the car have better overall feel then the Z51 as far as brakes and steering feel is concerned. These questions are open to all that have any first hand knowledge between the two.
