Welcome to the forum and Sweet ride you got there! I am assuming this is your first Corvette? What kind of sports cars have you owned in the past?

It's offensive, but not in the personal way. People that have never sat in the drivers seat of the car are critical of something they've never witnessed in person. Not show is a quick run from 80....nothing needed from the driver other than hitting the skinny one on the left. By 120, he was a car length and change ahead. The Viper is faster. If you watch his other videos, he walks everythingexcept a boost logic gtr. People here are making excuses for the Z when that viper is just really fast .

Trust me, I know which Viper that is. Here is the video of it racing some other high HP cars. The Viper is no joke.

I am the viper owner.
The run with the supercharged gen 3, surprised me as well, but its just another case of #s aren't the whole story. The blower + heat exchanger add a good 120lbs+ to the car, plus its a centri, so the curve is much more peaky then what i have to work with. It apparently adds up to a closer than you would expect race--I honestly thought he was going to roll me up.
As far as Dustin's Z, we all knew what the outcome was going to be and we're just some friends out there making a few roll ons. He did start in 3rd (which I honestly didn't know about till recently) which is why I move hard on him off the hit and just keep the momentum going. Honestly, if he started in 2nd, I doubt things would of been much better for him regardless.
Out of all my friends the closest runs for me are with my buddies stock ZR1. While the gen 5's run neck and neck with a ZR1 because of their better final drive (3.55s) and slightly lighter weight than my gen 4 (3.07s and about 100lbs heavier), my car needed some mods to pull on a properly piloted ZR1. When we were stock he would pull a car on me through 4th. Now I am walking away from him as the video above with the exotics shows (in our first run). Our second run I had just finished some back to back pulls and I'm pretty sure the car was pulling timing--hence it doesnt look as bad. I also shut it down after 3rd, and the party really doesn't start till 4th gear.
Hope that clears some things up

I don't know where you are getting your information, but a couple videos of brand new, low hundred mile Z's losing a street race does not make it a chump. Smoked by everything, really?? Think all those several hundred thousand dollar exotics consider themselves "chumps" because they lost to the viper as well! Pathetic
