How to find out engine builder info?
Maybe a stupid question, but I researched and can't seem to find out if it comes on the paperwork or on a plaque or what???
My car is set to arrive in Southern CA on Thursday. All the docs are in the car per Kerbeck.
I want to update some of the lists going on in the forum and would love to know how I can get the 411 on who/where built my motor.
Thanks in advance.

I believe you are under the assumption that your engine was built in Bowling Green. So far, GM has only said that the LT4 was going to be built in it's New York facility and in it's Bowling Green facility.
Maybe some of those that have received their Z07, can post if their engine has a builder's tag on the side of the supercharger, so we can get an idea where the Z07's engines are being built. Same goes for those that don't have the Z07 option on the Z06's they have.

Some members have their engine builder names and locations.
I just want to know how to attain that info. Did you email or PM Chvey Cust. Serv.? Is it on a plaque in the engine bay? Did some kind of paperwork come with the ZO6?
Thanks in advance!

I have heard that the Z07 engines are being built in BG and have a tag on the right side of the engine with the builder's name and the non-Z07 engines are coming from NY.

As I said, if it was built in Bowling Green then it has a builder's tag on the side of the supercharger.

I'm guessing that somewhere in the vicinity of 2,000 Z06's have been built so far, so that should give us a good indication as to whether ALL Z07's have Bowling Green built engines.

I believe that is an internet rumor and nothing has been posted by GM that states that. That's why I asked for those that have Z06's to post if their engine has a builders tag and whether it is a Z07 or not.

So do all engines have this built by tag? Just got mine from NCM delivery and did not see any tag. ?? It's a Z07 package ??
