If that's the hope they are probably right. This forum does NOT represent the normal owner at all. Most of us are nuty extremists 
For example I have a neighbor with a C5 couple, 2002, less than 20k miles on it. I seriously doubt that car has spent much time near redline. I think that's how majority are.

Two other runs had trap speeds of 123.43 and 124.64 (11.545 ET). I think it was a good first time out for the car.

see below...based on what we are seeing the zr1 will walk it especially in the higher speeds..This thing was meant for corners me thinks and even a hellcat charger is going to pull on a z..

Aventador leaves hard but starts running out of gas in triple digits where its weight starts getting in the way.
A 100% stock Aventador runs a 1/2 mile in the low to mid 150's... same as a 100% stock ZR1... so I would say the C7Z is right at par with those numbers.
I've ran a few Lambos in my time.

Here is a vid against a small/medium size turbo Supra (same setup I have w/bigger cams, mt's, and a better ecu). The Supra jumps the first and last race, but reels the z in 2nd race.
The new Z06 sounds amazing and the looks have really grown on me. I think it will improve past the c6, but only time will tell. It's still "first iteration", so there will be "snafus". Definitely on my list to buy. Quite a few Gallardos/Aventadors/Ford GT's in the DC area, I'll snap pics at the next meet.

I am so confused... Tadge has explained what the issue was on the track after 4 laps... but now we are seing people having overheat issue after only few runs, in winter.
To me, those testimonies demolish Tadge version!
And why do they have to put so conservative parameters to be able to reach the end of the warranty? Does the Z06 have reliability issues that force GM to implement that kind of setup???
Where is the truth???
