0-60 in 2.95 Seconds
Chevrolet has been putting the 2015 Corvette Z06 through its paces and have announced the initial performance numbers and we've got to say, they're impressive. When equipped with the 8L90 transmission that GM designed in-house, the 650hp, 6.2L LT4 delivers the Z06 from 0-60mph in just 2.95 seconds, while the 7-speed manual reaches 60mph in a very respectable 3.2 seconds.

I'm sure this is with the Z07 package and its sticky tires. I'm getting a manual, but for the fun I don't mind being slower. Wonder what we'll see with non-Z07 package.

Wow those are awesome numbers for sure for auto or MANUAL...where are the people saying this car was to heavy and wouldn't be faster than the ZR1?...I said it all along the C7 Z06 would out perform the ZR1 in every way.....
Thanks for posting this....

OP - nice find, thanks!
If true, this confirms my suspicion that my newly ordered Z07 will be about as fast as my ZR1, if my ZR were running the same tires. So, the statement from a GM engineer that the ZR1 feels sluggish compared to the Z06 was a bunch of hype and BS. Nonetheless, I'm super excited for Z to arrive, and expect it to be superior to my ZR in many ways.

Who knows... maybe the A8 can go a tad faster in the 1/4 (e.t. & trap speed) and the manual can dip into the flat or sub-11's? Either way the Z06 is promising to be even more awesome no matter which tranny!

Don't get me wrong the numbers are impressive, but I am not sure that it is out performing the ZR1 in every way.

Great numbers! Did GM provide these numbers? I'm assuming that the trap speed of 127 will increase in the hands of you guys? What are the trap speed figures for the C6 Z06 & C6 ZR1? GM est of course. You can tell who the target was using that chart of comparison.
