If you have the money it doesn't matter and if you don't have the money it doesn't matter. First case, who cares about depreciation and in the second case, it is academic anyway. Best

If your one of those that would spent that kind of money (300k)
have at it. I don't see the point.

Just your opinion! Which matter's only to you.
First case? I would not want to lose 80,000 on a car the first year.
I don't care about a 300,000 car when my 80,000 soon to be 750 hp car will roast it's ***.
If you have money you don't need to sell your car to get the next one!
It doesn't matter what others do with their money.
doesn't mean they don't have it! It is academic your right there!

you are to performance driven to understand a ferrari or lambo.

like i have been saying for years. Most people who win the lottery are probably going to a lambo dealership before a chevy dealership. theres a reason for that.

end of the day its just a corvette. Any guy who makes OK money can go buy a used one, and put a blower on it.... big deal...

Initial cost and cost of ownership just no comparison. You gotta have plenty of play money to own one Ferrari let alone two and a Z06. The Z06 appeals to the less fortunate like me and my Yuengling

I currently drive an R8 and an SLK55 AMG. I am strongly considering buying a new Z06 as my next car, although my budget could accommodate a new R8, 911 Turbo, maybe a lightly used Huracan or 458.
Why? I genuinely think the Vette looks and sounds better than any of them, and if faster than most around a track.

The only downsides are the interior (probably-I haven't had a sit in one yet...I am in Australia!) and the "prestige". I couldn't care less about that - though I DO like to have cars that are unusual. I'll be moving to Japan, where C7s are pretty rare, so that's not a worry!

Just my input.

FWIW, last year I hit a financial milestone wherein I'd always told myself that if I got there, I'd buy a Ferarri. Well, I got there, but Ferarri didn't make anything I lusted after. They just don't. The 458 doesn't excite me. Liked the Enzo but nothing currently like it (and out of my range just like the LaFerarri is too). But for under $300K they just didn't sell anything that made me want it more than the Z06.

The fact it costs a lot less is a bonus. I'm not saying the Corvette has a better interior, or a better anything - but it won my heart and while I try to buy domestic, at the end of the day I buy what I want. And I wanted a 10-second convertible that sounded like the Z06, which is what I got. Do I wish the electronics stack was faster and better? Sure, it could be improved in a dozen ways! I'm a realist.

If Ferarri made a 650hp AWD V12 that looked like the Enzo and cost $300K I might have bitten, but they don't. They could soon, but not when I was looking.

It looks to me we have some wisdom on this thread.

It looks like some people would prefer a bad a$$ cold steel "Bowie Knife" over a more expensive gold plated dagger any day.

Some like beer, others champagne, nothing wrong with either, but they cannot be compared. Best

That's what I'm talking about! I like my z07 but the interior is lacking and traction is a problem!

Instead of less than 1. Then with the 170 you buying a lottery ticket because they have DELCO Electronic's (el cheapo). Still full of plastic and they have engine issues!

I' m wanting OUT of my z51 that pukes oil!

Many do and the owners don't know! Till they check the bellows in front of the throttle body.

Corvette has good points but some are way over sold. Overall Corvette can improve. Still the interior is so over sold people drinking the koolaid! It's still full of cheap plastic.

No better than the C6's ESP the engines, The 1lt has a poor start
then the unknown's of the fate of direct injection problem's!
Every Ferrari I have ever looked at, usually with less than 30K miles, usually has about $25K worth of repair bills. No thanks. I'll drive a Corvette everyday of the week and church on Sunday, be able to go to Auto Zone, Advanced , Pep Boys and pick an alternator or starter off the shelf and be home, fixed and on the road in an hour. No thanks Ferrari.

Default All I got to say.

"BORN IN THE USA" (GOD BLESS AMERICA) ............. Add a pulley/tune & 'regardless of price' you will blow most of the competition away.

PS: And you can easily change your own oil & filters too. Now that sounds better than sliced bread.

mhmm resale down the road huh...a typical f12 has lost more in value than my entire z06 cost when new.
