CORVETTE Z06

•First DOSP (dealer order submission process) Sept Cycle 1 (9/18)

•Estimated Guide was posted to GMPI (General Motors Program Info) Sept 2
–Z06 allocation based on past 12 months Stingray sales
–Every eligible Stingray Dealer will be offered at least one Z06 some time during 2015 model run
–Note: Only Dealers who were Eligible Stingray Dealers on Aug 28 are included in Z06 allocation

•Only Coupe with Manual Transmission available at SORP (start of retail production) 8-Speed Auto and Convertible will phase in 1-2 months after

That is the most complete information I have seen so far. The only thing that effects my Z06 order is the M5U delay for 1- 2 months. I don't like it but I know what to expect.

As a newbie, does the last note mean that 1LZs will be few and far between?

Don't understand. I interpret the comment as yet another in the long line of comments that the Z07 package is intended for track use and might not meet expectations for a comfortable street ride. Has nothing to do with trim levels.

Also, there is no constraint at this time for the Z06- just a delay on the auto and vert.

I read it as on the Stingrays only, but Ken Fitchner has stated otherwise.
In any case, I'm about 90% sure that my car will not have the Z07 package and I would likewise order without CFZ. Mike@Criswell called me yesterday to make sure I was sticking with the A8, and since I am that gives me some time for a final decision even though I am in the "top few" with him.

yeah i dont want fuggin visible carbon for 1k more, cant tell me there isnt any funk ups and every piece made is perfect from the factory probably break the stuff within a year for the splitter anyways

the factory needs to get their head outta their **** if they are now not allowing painted cfz and only cfv what would make most sense is to use the cfz for z06 only and make the base cars buy visible only if they want it.

where did ken say that it is z06 also?

His comment...

It's somewhat inaccurate, because he states that you "will have to order exposed carbon fiber", which is not CFZ.
He also stated in C7 General that CFZ is not available on the '15 MY.

If CFV is not available the general will loose 3 grand of my money and I will go aftermarket... i don't want exposed this go around. I had RPI's splitter and skirts on my C6Z and I was extremely pleased with the fit and finish. I'll wait for them to offer them for probably half of what I would have paid if oem. 4 grand is alot for me to pay for something (at least the splitter) that will likely at minimum suffer minor damage

Terms are getting mushed around a bit.

Just so folks stay anchored:

CFV = Visible carbon fiber

CFZ = Painted carbon fiber.

I don't see anybody in this thread confused about what CFV and CFZ are. The conflicting info was posted by a forum dealer.

Typical constraints. I ordered mine loaded so there will probably be problems with options.
