It is great that they responded to the pressure but it makes a prospective first time buyer very apprehensive about dealing with them. I guess it is the short term gain thing but what were they thinking!?

I have to give credit where credit is due, to me this is a stand up move and negates any negative thoughts the prior post may have initiated.

Everyone makes mistakes, they have nothing but Glowing reviews on this Forum and I think they realized quickly that it was the wrong thing to do. Hats off to them!!!!

Default discrimination !!!

It's great that the rethought their position. But clearly it was done under pressure from all the comments on this forum. It doesn't seem genuine to me because of them stating relationships are more important than short term gains????......learned that when i was young .......not the way the #2 dealer should even think..... discriminatory because I'm not a previous customer but that doesn't mean I should be made to wait just because a previous customer wants a car when Im ahead of them on the list.
How do you expect to get new customers when you discriminate against them....maybe you don't need them. Just cuz you purchased a car before means nothing if you placed everyone on a list from 1-200.....stick to you list....I won't be ordering from them anytime soon.

How? If it werent for the forum members to stand up and say something, they wouldnt have done a thing and would've carried on with their scam. It was the fear of a major backlash that made them stick their tails between their legs and give up.

You're entitled to your opinion, mine is they realized it was wrong fairly quickly and they went back to MSRP. Yes it took the forum to make them realize, I personally don't have an issue with this.

I was not on their list, maybe I would feel differently if I was. As of today I would order from them in a second.

I'd like to personally thank the Corvette Forum members who called out this Chevy dealer and were not afraid to call it exactly the way they saw it. If it were not for you I would Imagine they (MacMulkin) would not have changed their mind.
THANK YOU!!!

Exactly. But before everyone was just whiners. And Milkin were making $5k extra a car lol. All the sudden they got their senses haha. Uh maybe because they were about to lose that number 2 spot.

MacMulkin has now clearly established exactly what they are....all that's left now is to dicker on their price.

Personally I think McMilkin should drop EVERY 2015 Z06 they sell to $1k under msrp in lieu of customer appreciation.

MacMulkin's failed attempt at 5k over is child's play compared to my local rapist dealer who is at 20K over MSRP

I am happy for everyone that didn't have to fork over add'l money to MacMulkin though. The money should've been yours to keep from the beginning.

Tommy Jr and the Corvette folks at MacMulkin have been one of the class act, Corvette Forum supporting dealers of long standing.

I personally think it was a nearsighted, bonehead move, when 'someone' there conjured up the $5,000 over MSRP Order Preference System . They clearly should have known what the immediate reaction on the Forum would be - and they got both barrels.

OK, so they join the ranks of those of us who make an occasional, less than perfect decision. With some 'additional input' they rethought and retracted their decision. They may be limping a bit from all the butt kicking, but life, Corvettes and supporting CF Supporting Dealers goes on.

Good job MacMulkin....

However, I'd like to point out that it is easy to do the right thing when everyone is looking.
