Here's where my wife and I are at. The only thing that's slightly up in the air is we may go black instead of CF on the aero bits and roof. I need to see what this looks like on a ZR1. Also, as much as I want to, I'm not sure that driving my cup tired Z07 from Kentucky to NY in February is a good idea so I may have to pass on museum delivery. Also I'll be having my first child delivered in February.

Black w/ red interior

Best,
Gene

You might want to break out the calculator again because that build totals $103,320.00

Thank you! It's probably the only thing that could even be more exciting than getting a new generation Z06. It will be my birthday month in a most excessive way.

Best,
Gene

It's like a really good magic trick. Takes months of preparation, annoying her with dumb car facts until she thinks she understands and then letting her go shopping.

Sometimes it works better than others. My ZR1 cost me a bathroom remodel (and I didn't think there was anything wrong with old master bath). . . .

I plan on ordering a similar package minus the Black Wheels and Z07 package. I want Torch Red exterior and Adrenalin Red Interior. Want to come as close to the California Package look as possible. However, no one as yet is including the possible Gas Guzzler tax of $1300.

Have some big decisions to make.....being an 'older guy' the chrome wheels were almost a must....but....with Torch red....I'm leaning with the black wheels........
The only decision I have left is going with the DTH/DTN & DTZ/DTW
Been going thru a lot of threads trying to find this option on a Torch Red.....I would love any pics or opinions on going with these options.
Maybe the better way to go is after market......pin-striping or something......it needs to be accented a little and looking for ideas!!!
I still have my 2008 Z and never a problem with 32,000 miles and will hate to see it go. Black is a great color....but Torch Red this time!!!!
But I am #3 at my dealer and he said looks like a Jan order with a March delivery.....good enough for Colorado.

2LZ...Torch Red w/ all black interior
already has red calipers!!!!
Base +destination + 2LZ...........................$82,265
ERI...battery protection 100
TTV...carbon flash mirrors................................. .......100
I06...Nav+ UQT..................................... ...............1,795

Q6U...black wheels.................................. .................495
MEP...7 speed................................... .......................N/C
_________
$84,755

It will change again

I think it's even more complicated than you suggest. The Corvette, and in particular the Z06, is much more like an expensive boat than a car.

We already have a nice car

For the vast majority of us, the vette is our second car. Even more so for those of us who live in an area that experiences real winters -- not Texas winters.

You can't even buy all season tires for the Z06! No one makes them.

I'm not married but live with my SO. I make 95% of the household income and provide a very nice standard of living. All of this allows me to just buy it and deal with the minor fall out. My SO is not a car person and really has no idea how much such things costs
