Default Are these allocations legit?

since Conti released the z06 schedule last week, i have heard theat some dealers already have theirs.

here is on from a non forum dealer. i had my doubts and asked him for proof. he said he had 9 left and requires a 5k deposit.

"No actual document to send you......we were allocated a 10% allocation based on our 2014 Model Year Stingray retail sales of 141 units."

"We are not authorized so sent official General Motors Documents".

Is that 10% for the half year 2015 car?
Which would be 20% for a full year.

Taken as written, it would be 10% for the half year or 14 and 28 for the full 2016 MY.

Works out to be 1 out of 5 cars = Z06.

Wonder if that's a flat allocation across all dealers. 10% of your 2014 stingray sales...Ie if dealer didn't sell 10 stingrays then they would not be given an initial allocation?

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2014/...d-year-report/

Calendar Year to Date Report
Rank Total Retail Deliveries (Retail + Retail Direct) Corvettes

For the calendar year starting in January and running through June 30, 2014, GM has reported a total of 17,744 Corvettes sold. The top Corvette dealers on this list account for 41.5% of those sales which total 7,370.

Z06 Allocation is 10% of 2014 Sales
These are the halfway mark for 2014 sales by the top 6 corvette dealers.

Assume full year is twice for 2014 and then 10% of that is the allocation for the 2015 MY Z06:

1 KERBECK CADILLAC CHEVROLET BUICK GMC 672 * 2 (full year) *10% allocation for Z06 = 134
2 MAC MULKIN CHEVROLET CADILLAC 528 = 106
3 LES STANFORD CHEVROLET CADILLAC INC. 337 = 67
4 CRISWELL CHEVROLET, INC 277 = 55
5 COUGHLIN AUTOMOTIVE, LLC 272 = 54
6 RICK HENDRICK CHEVROLET 266 = 53

99 KOONS CHEVROLET 26 = 5

Bottom line...if you want a Z06 you better be with a dealer in the top 100 list as the allocation will drop fast after these dealers listed.

7370 sold in first half represents 42% of sales of the Corvette Stingray = 14740 for a full year *0.2 = 1474
1474 *0.58/0.42 for total of all other dealers = 2036 (the others) + 1474 ( the top 100) = 3510 total Z06 allocations

The value is low as total sales 14740 + 20355 = 35, 095 is on the low side...say increase by 10% Z06 allocation = 3860

Bob - Reliable Chevrolet is listed twice in that list. Any way to tell which location each of them represents?

Sounds in line with the C6 Z06 allocations which were based on ~20% of sales. GM had contracted it's suppliers to furnish components for 7,000 C6 Z06's annually.

Just called the dealer I put a deposit with and they said they have sold 28 stingrays this year. I am #4 on the list. So it would appear I may be good?

Did they sell a total of 28 2014's? The way I understand it, that would give them an allocation of 2.8(or 3) Z06's for the short 2015 Z06 production run.

Wait, I thought you doubled the amount sold for 2014, then do 10% of that number

The sales in the web article were half year sales thus were doubled for an approximate full year of sales. Your sales are presumably for the full year hence no doubling. Assuming the rumored allocation is correct.

My guess is that everyone who wants a Z06 now will at some point get one by the end of next summer....
