Default 2015 Z06 Price: Closer to C6 or Z6?

Do you think that the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will have a base MSRP closer to that of the C6 Z06 ($77,000) or the Z6 ZR1 ($114,000)?

C7 folks are more likely to have the best answer to this.

My question is based on this article, which says Tadge Juechter was quoted as stating that if you could afford the C6 Z06, you will be able to afford the C7 Z06. This led many people to believe that the newest Z06 would have a similar price as the previous Z06 and frankly, I have a very hard time believing that when you consider how much improved the C7 Z06 is over the previous model.

This is getting ridiculous. There are myriad, multiple page threads about this topic.
Use the search button and read.

I actually did Snorman, but couldn't find any fresh discussion. Only very old discussions. The freshest I saw was from January/february of this year.

Who cares if it is an old topic. No one forces people to open it and post in it.

Best guess @80 large......topping 100 for loaded convertible should be quite easy.

OP, figure it'll easily be $100k+ for a new Z, fully loaded.

I think people are kidding themselves if they think they'll be able to get one under $90k, and that would be bone dry base model IMHO.

Your estimate is too high. Read with the GM guys said. I don't think you are more informed than they are.

JMO but I think for the base $114k is on the high side and I think $77k is a bit low for even the base model but right now it's all speculation on the pricing....

Oh Good...another pricing thread!

--If you could afford the C6 Z06 then you can afford the C7 Z06;
--The C7 Z06 will be $35k less than the C6 ZR1.

Both from Tadge J.
