Default Rear Fix - My First Mod - What do you think?

I'm sure plenty of people have thought of it or have even done it on their C7s but my coupe would get this treatment right out of the gate.
I can totally live with this rear now... For those who did;t realize I photoshopped the massive diaper looking rear valence body color.

I'll take one in that same color with that mod!

There have been a couple of C7 pics posted when the lower carbon flash piece was painted body-color. It ends up being too much color on the rear.
There was a red one that looked awful IMO. All of the vents were painted as well.

The carbon flash lower fascia makes the rear end look smaller, which I like. The body color lower fascia makes the rear end look too big. I like it the way it is. Just my opinion.

A "mod"? Sure. A "fix"? Nope...IMHO mind you. I prefer the contrasting CF on the lower rear.

Now what I'd really like to see would be a functional, modified CF diffuser under there. I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before one is made for this great car.

Either stock, or with the rear painted, everything about the C7 rear hurts my eyes...

Take a pic!
I can see a Black body with dark red vents and possibly the lower rear fascia...not mirrors. Dark red stinger hood..... perfect!

Found IT!!!....... not the mirrors.

I don't care for the chrome wheels in this case (too much clash with black/red), but the red if darker ( ie dark candy apple red) would be excellent...too bright in this case.

It's amazing how different opinions can be. Because I feel the black diaper look makes the C7 look too bulky in the rear and breaks up the lines of the car entirely too much.

Leave the vents unpainted, and the lower body colored. That's the first thing I'll do to my C7, is get the diaper painted to match the body.

I dunno. On the Z with the wider rear vents, the bigger rear spoiler and clear tail lens, this looks pretty good. It works better on the Z than it does on the Stingray.

Default Not bad

At least you are not trying to "fix" the rear by pasting the C4, C5, or C6 rear lights on it. I agree that it would be a cool mod on a rear that does not need to be "fixed". Reminds me of the people that "fixed" their '63 coupes's by sawing the post out.
