I would love to have a McLaren.
Another ridiculous comparison. Why not compare the Mclaren to an actual race car and comment on how the McClaren is slow compared to the f1 car. It is like a high school locker room on this forum.

The car's glitches can be quite annoying.

Sweet video. Well put together. Makes me miss Germany. Did my two laps on the "Ring and was happy with sub 10:00. Hahaha.
I only did two laps because I was afraid of wrapping my Vette into one of the guard rails or walls. The 'Ring has a very unforgiven runoff.

Safety Car
The P1 is closer to a race car than a street car. Abnormally stiff shocks, high strung motor, rear visibility, SPL, NHV, etc.
The Z06 should be compared to the 650s. IMO it is on par with the 650s with a superior engine, differential, and amenities but inferior chassis and ECU. I believe McLaren to be a leader in chassis design and computerization, GM can't compete there.
A track prepped C7 with a 3 liter TVS could take on a P1. You have to remember how many top engineers work for a high production company like GM, the sort of technology and robotics that GM has available, the wide array of patents, and the sheer amount of engineering hours that goes into a high volume car.
The other bit about the P1 is that those lap times may not be repeatable. A good chunk of its power is electric. It's only there if it is generated and stored... What if the second lap it can only do 7:20?
