Household income of the average Z owner?
Of course area were you live, family size ect all factor in...not looking to be scientific about this...
Remember "average" being the key word.
My guess is 175K a mininum.

The income spread is probably huge. I am sure you will find some people who own a Z renting an apartment while others will look at it as one of many toys. It is the same with home ownership where some people will borrow every bit a bank will allow to buy a home that is really outside of the comfort zone.
Income is only part of the equation, expenses both required and discretionary are at least as important.
Personally I have been sticking 4K a month in my "C7 retirement gift to me fund" so I will just wait a few more months for purchase now that the car I really wanted is being released

Hard to say in my case, because I work for a Botswanan company and they pay me in kubookies, their national currency. I'm not sure what the exchange rate is, because kubookies are actually pancakes.

First, I beleive it is lower but dependant on how well one manages his money. Secondly, as the wife has alot of influences over puchases, I assume it would depend on her attitude. Finally, if one's employment pays into retirement funds (and how much) outside of normal income I would assume the income level could be much lower.

There are actually several questions here. One is a market research question for GM as to the income parameters for interest in the Z06. Another is in the financial planning realm of who can responsibly afford the car and that takes into account both sources and demands for income. For some people it will come down to whether they can come up with the cash plus credit to sign on the dotted line. In the real world this means the answer to the OP's question is the standard, "It depends"
For me personally I spent several years earlier in life closely watching money while getting an undergrad, MBA, and Ph.D. and I am not buying anything that puts me in debt. I don't have expensive tastes but I never want to go back to those student days of "here is the steak I would like to buy but I am going home with cheap ground meat instead". If the Z06 turns out as good as it appears now in two years I hope demand has settled enough that I can do a funds transfer to one of the forum dealers and enjoy a timely museum delivery
