I think the only way to find out would be to befriend a Corvette engineer or test driver and take him out and get him really drunk.

I really like the Z07 but feel that it might be a bit much to drive to the grocery store or just around in general. I have an '08 Z06 that has 10000 miles made up of mostly local trips and occasional ATL or JAX trips from HHI - most people sense that it is different from a normal Vette but not an over the top C6R wannabe. Would really hate to not drive a new Z07 due to being too conspicuous.
Thoughts ???

Not sure if I understand the question. The Z07 is the top of the line Z06, IMO. (RPO Z07 being an optional package for the Z06)
"Z06" and "Stingray" are specific (sub)types of the Corvette.

Since the Z07 is a package that can be built on the Z06, this question makes no sense.

Seriously !!!!

I have to think that you guys have to understand what I was asking,

The Z06 with the Z07 package is gorgeous, I would probably spend more time in the garage looking at it than driving it, just sayin !

I just wanted to know if anyone had any pics or info on the highest level Z06 without the Z07 trim.

Now, that wasn't so hard was it ?

I'm pretty sure he means the top optioned Z06 without the Z07 package. It'll still have the aggressive aero, minus the wicker bill attachment on the spoiler. And of course minus the cc brakes and pilot sport cup tires.

To answer your question, I don't think there will much of a visual difference between the "top of the line" Z06 and the Z06 with the Z07 package. Not many would even be able to point out the differences unless they are Corvette fans or real car enthusiasts.

......and minus the larger removable winglets on the corners of the splitter.

I believe the Z07 package will also have stiffer shock settings and stiffer springs in addition to the cup tires and carbon ceramic brakes.

Winglets? They're not really wings right?

OP I get ya, some would buy the ZO7 just b/c it's top trim, some will buy it for the better track prowess IMO.

The average person won't be able to tell the difference between the 2015 base Z06 or the 2015 Z06 with the Z07 package.

I have an 08 Z06 also. I know a guy who has a C6 Z06 and a C6 ZR1. He prefers to drive the Z06 around town. He says the ZR1 is a bit much to take to the store. His opinion not mine. I don't have that experience, but, I'm a little concerned about the C7 Z06's friendliness around town. It's my daily driver, around town and backroads. That said, I can't see myself not getting the new C7 Z06. They have done too much inside and outside and UNDER THE HOOD! Yeehaa!!!

GM, I having withdrawls. Give me a fix. Quick! Quick!

IMO unless you are going to track the car the Z07 does not make sense. Who really needs the increased tire wear and carbon brakes unless you are racing. The standard Z06 is what I will be looking at.

This is the 2nd or third time I have heard this.

I personally have never heard GM say this. I am not saying they didn't say it.

Can anyone provide a link where someone from GM said this?

Just want to put it to rest as BS .....or verify it as a fact.

huh? It should be the opposite-the ZR1 has the Magnetic adjustable suspension (just like the C7Z will have), allowing a softer "touring" mode top go to the store, then the "sport" mode (5 of them actually) for spirited and track driving.

^^It would make sense for the real track version Z07 to have the new dynamic suspension spool valve shocks from the Z28 (and AM ONE 77) but I doubt that will happen?
