Default ZO6 Pricing and the C7

Just sharing my thoughts regarding C7 sales. Does anyone think that by GM not releasing pricing on the C7Z for about 6 to 8 months that it is cutting into the buying decisions of perspective new Corvette buyers now? IMO its holding me back from ordering a NRB Z51 for the moment. Wondering how many out there have similar views.

Price out a 13 Z06 with the options you want then add 6,000.00 and I am willing to bet that puts you in the ball park. The Z07 option with all the areo and breaks should add another 8,000 on top of that price or more. The Z51 is still a bad car it will be fun to be the first on the block. You may not see the Z06 till May or June

I'm not sure why there are pseudo-conspiracy theories regarding the fact that GM has not released official pricing for the C7 Z06. They didn't release pricing for the C7 for months after it was revealed last January. People were saying the same thing back then...GM was concealing the price so they wouldn't completely tank the sales of remaining C6's.
The car isn't final, they probably don't know what the exact price will be. If they announced it, and then raised it $2-3k when the order banks opened, this forum would probably explode from all the complaining.

I'll bet that based on the price of a loaded Z51 C7 (75 - 80K range) the price on a loaded Z06 will be in the 110K range.......

Lots of variables can change between now and then - price of aluminum for example. If you declare a price now you're in a box.

If you think the price is going to be in your ballpark you ought to wait.

I doubt it, there isn't enough on the car to justify that type of price increase over the z51 TBH. Even with the CCB and the full Z07 package there simply is not 30k worth of additional equipment on the Z06.

I would guess with the z07 pack you are looking at 15-20k over Z51 price, and that is pushing it.

I can't see it going that high. Base Z may be around $85K and with all the goodies, a bit less than $100K. Still too much for me and I could be perfectly happy with a non-Z06 C7.

I can tell you without a doubt that the announcement of he Z06 curbed my plans of buying a base C7 in the spring. I'd be foolish to say I couldn't be happy with the base model, but knowing the Z is on the horizon completely changed my outlook on everything and I figured why not just wait for the car I REALLY want.

You people are freaking dreaming that think the Z will be priced in the 80s. Sure let's see, new C7 called the Z06 with better performance than the C6ZR1 which comes in north of $120k.

Most track proven Corvette EVER, fastest Corvetts EVER....yet doesn't have many more goodies than a C7Z51? LOL Some of you must live in the wacky weed legal states. Cause you sound HIGH.

"IF" you can afford a C7Z51 my guess is you could have a C6Z06 beside it in the garage for the price of the C7Z06. I don't see why anyone in the C7 price point would be holding out for the C7Z06 unless you could afford the C6ZR1 new. It's not like, hey! for $5k more I could have got the Z06 lmao.

Just opened my Sunday paper and see that a local mid-size chev dealer has7 stingrays for sale. Gm better be careful on the zo6 pricing. Based on what They have said it best be 78 to 100k...rrm

This is EXACTLY what happened to me...Was ready to pull the trigger on a new Vert and Boom! The Z06 comes along...Hate the fact that I have to wait and go though a very much fun anticipated summer without a Vette, but as they say...Good things come to those who wait!

GM said it will be $100k loaded.
-$8k for 3LT
-$3k for Level 2 aero
-$8k for ZO7
-$1000 PDR
-$3k for coloring (wheels, stripes, calipers, etc)

That would make it a $77k base car. You'd have to pay ~$57K for a Z51 with NPP, and MRC.

I can't believe that alot of guys are paying $70-$80k on a z51.
I am a long time vette owner of at least 10 over my lifetime. I can well aford a new one but in this economy and the potential price of the z, it makes me think twice before rushing in to the dealer.
I can't help but think that alot of people are getting in over their heads. When I open my newspaper, I see alot of leftover 2013 vettes going for $38k that are discounted by $10k.
In my opinion, the vette may be approaching a dangerous ferrari type clientel and I don't see ferrari showrooms very busy either.

A loaded Z07 will be 110-120k, a loaded Z51 is 80, so take the supercharger, ceramics add warranty add ground effects, and suspension mods , easy to see, base car will be 80-90k, ceramics are 8k plus, blower 7k plus add warranty ? , 3k plus ground effects, 5 k suspension for a loaded car, tire update 3k from stock

I guess all these people who keep saying a base Z06 will be $90k+ and $110-120k loaded either missed the part where Tadge said "you will be very happy with the pricing" or just want it to cost more so they can brag about spending over $100k on their car.

Or they own a C6 Z06 Z07 or a ZR1 and are worried about resale value.
