you are an idiot.
every c7 owner knows/knew a z06 was being built 8 months ago. No $hit it was going to be 600+hp for another 30k and 16 months out from the first c7. Then you have to wait 3-6 months waiting list . SOOOOO 2 years before its within reach from the inception of the brand new rare c7 z51 that turns heads every where i go TODAY.
by the time the z06 hits the market the c7 will be common car.It will lose a little of the "new" look.in the meantime i will throw a blower for 5k and pay 5 hours of labor for 700HP c7 (crank) all under 61k. once I am done and bored 16 months from now( i wont pay 10k over MSRP) ill consider picking up a "new' z06.
run along troll....

I do not believe the C6 Z06 or ZR1 use different front fenders from the standard C6. The only difference is the slim black trim molding that integrates into the top of the fender well and runs down the back of the front fender. I see similar treatment here on this new Z06, but the black trim is wider to accommodate a 2.2 inch increase in front track. I believe the cost of tooling new, wider front fenders was deemed to be cost-prohibitive and unnecessary.

So how does this Dec 4th article "reveal" fare?
Two things I noticed in the photo are the black mirrors and the roof don't match the photos in this thread. There may be others.

That's pretty much it with a few differences.

Ok, sold me.
Love the wide body look. 620 HP will be 720 HP in about 3 weeks, with an upper pulley by LPE (speculation only)
Confirmed what I was told a year ago confidentially, which makes thinking about what is coming next really mind blowing.
620 is the estimated. That is what I believe was estimated for the ZR1 until 638 became reality.
Nice job GM, just wish it was a blown 427. Maybe next time.
Need to see the engine bay up close.

Comparing the front quarter panels on Stingray and the Z06, it does appear that the front wheel openings gradually widen from front to back. Hence why the gurney flap tapers from front to back as it goes over the top of the wheel arch. The vents in the front quarters appear to be larger than the vents on the Stingray and the gap between the vent and wheel opening is larger as well.
As far as the front fascia, the grill appears to be slightly taller than that on the Stingray, but I can't be certain. Only way to really be sure is to park the two side-by-side and take measurements. Same as the hood. It appears to have slightly different lines and does appear to be taller by comparing the two pictures above but, again, the only way to be certain is to put the two side-by-side.

If you blow up the LF corner where the face meets the drivers side fender it looks like an 80's IMSA GT - "don't care about aero, got enough HP to bast through the air"

Yeah it's pretty sick!
Best thing about it too, is that it gets a Automatic 8 speed tranny - man is this thing gonna be awesome!
Thanks,Matt

That is because that is the only panel on the car that was widened( the other side as well obviously) when it goes to the bumper it's the same as the base C7

I can't tell with the front bumpers. The vents and the areas around definitely look different, but its hard to see if they're wider.
I guess will find out for sure soon.

Rear bumper is flared to meet the wider quarter panels. The lower outer vents are also bigger/wider than the base car.
The parts really intriguing me are if the front fenders are the same (minus the cove inserts and add-on flares) and if the front bumper is the same part. I've got sources telling me they're not, but I'm not sold yet. I'm told the fender is wider in the cove area and that the mouth on the front bumper is wider.
