I agree. It looks like a 6-speed pattern on the **** as well, with possibly a reverse. It just seems so weird to me that they'd put manual shift-pattern on a **** in an auto car. But perhaps I'm just hoping too much…lol

I say weight will be 3300 , really going to be hard to drop it under with a blower.
The pics look legit. Now which vendor will make wide rear panels for us Z51 owners..lol

Man if this car has a DCT, it will seriously put the icing on the cake and make the car that much more bad *** IMO! Not that it's not now, just saying.
Can't wait to hear all about the final specs.

Before you make that decision, go and drive the Jaguar F Type with the V8. The ZF SuperFast Auto changes gear in 100ms in its most aggressive modes, and 'maybe' the beginning of the end of DCTs due to its better drivability at low speeds; lower weight; cheaper to produce; lock up TC, etc. If the Aisin or ZF 8 speed Auto in the new Z06 matches the characteristics of the ZF in the Jag, you might not actually miss a true DCT. Now if the Z06 has a DCT I'll be very happy, but I bet it's one of the above 8 speed Autos.

It certainly looks like a racecar.
I wish it looked beautiful, or at least artful. This looks merely effective.
I know that's the fashion, and I'm just being an old fart, but I wish the car was a little more Mitchell and a little less Duntov.

The only thing I find curious about these renders is the location of the hood duct.
Take a look at the photo below which was posted earlier in another thread. Assuming that the photo below is really from the Z06 owners manual, the photo below appears to show the hood duct located on either side of the cowl as opposed to in the middle of the cowl as shown on the render which is similar to the standard C7. It could just be an illusion caused by the flat nature of the illustration but to my eyes, it looks as those the ducts would be located in a different spot on the Z06 hood based on the image below.
