The new Z06 will have,,,,
I think this is some good info.
The zs chassis will be up to 60% more rigid,
The 2015 Zo6 has already set records at GMs Milford proving grounds.
The 2015 Z06 will be the only car with more then 600 hp to offer an automatic (8 speed).
The steel torque tube from the stingray will be replaced by a carbon fiber tourque tube.
The rear track will be 3 inches wider and the front will be 2.2 inches wider.
It will have 9 pounds of boost from a 1.7L blower.
EDIT,
Forgot to add that there will be three levels of Z06. One is called Z07 and it will have alot more down force than any GM car has ever made in their wind tunnel
I have a good feeling that this is some acurate info.

I am wondering if the big surprise will be:
AWD
Optional in Convertible
Available in 7-Speed Manual or 7/8 Speed Automatic
Anything else would be a big surprise.

People keep saying AWD, but I honestly don't see how it would work with the current architecture. An AWD C7Z would likely require an extensive redesign of the Corvette's platform.

Come on, somebody leak some official info already! Going to be a long weekend without it.

.....and there in itself would be the "big surprise"
If it can work for a Nissan GT-R, it could work with the new Z.
Despite the growing pains of the C7 tail lights, the AWD will quickly grow on some if not many, especially if it rips out of the hole faster than current C7. Imagine a 3.0/3.1 second AWD C7 Z06?
I also think convertible for those top down lovers who don't care so much about the chasis being built for top speed strength and don't mind the added weight for a topless adventure.
Lastly - I don't recall any Z06 model ever being produced/offered in an automatic. So, to tempt the dedicated automatic crowd and those who just don't know how to drive a "stick", an automatic would be a smart choice in options to appeal to the masses.

At this point, I'll just wait for the official info which is only days away.

Hmmm... I've been saying this powerplant could be a more economical, LSA replacement used in a few different platforms to save money. This smaller blower, similar to the size used in the LSA, supports that IMO.
The LT4 isn't going to be nearly as expensive as the LS9.

If they were going to make the C7 an AWD car, why would the base be RWD? Why would they go through the trouble (and expense) of designing 2 separate drive trains for 2 models coming off the same line?
There is zero chance this car is AWD... You have a better chance of seeing a $62,000 base price.
