Did they contact him at all before publishing it? Just curious as to how they operate in that regard.

While I can't speak for their overall history on stealing and publishing items.... I'm friends with the guy that started Jalopnik all the way to the guy who runs it these days so I sent it over to them last night. On the bottom they gave credit where credit is due. As I said in the email, I had the C5 and C6 Z06's and plan on continuing the tradition!

I don't visit them often, but Jalopnik is morphing into an unusual website. More like National Enquirer.

Articles on today's (1/8/14) main page include;

1. "Woman hit with $47,000 bill after rental Mustang stolen" or;
2. "Woman attempts to warm minivan with charcoal and guess what happens" or;
3. "Strap this wind turbine to your electric car and you can drive forever"

From my perspective, not much interest there...
