How does this handle the big bugs that explode upon impact? Seems that all of their juicy-ness will still end up on the paint and require a wash after a long trip. Or, is there a thin barrier layer?

Sorry, we never saw this message....but they handle them really well. It's a close mesh fabric and not much can get through.

Not yet, the manufacturer tells me they have looked into a few different options and so far there's no good way to do it. I'll update everyone on here if and when this changes.
