Proper Battery Operating Voltage

It appears to be normal depending on conditions. When you start the car, the voltage will climb to about 14.5 volts and go back down after a little while, depending on the load. If your AC or heat are operating or your headlights are on the load will require the alternator to increase the output.

Thanks.. I'm just asking because last night the Rear Diff Error came up on dash, and I was reading that the battery voltage may be affecting that..or the alternator... Have you heard of this before?

The rear diff message can occur if there is a battery issue but can also occur if there is an engine issue or an actual problem with the rear diff electronics/hydraulics. It is hard to know what your voltage reading is using the display in your picture. Your voltage is either 14.6V, 15V or something else. If you count the large bars as one unit of voltage between 13 and 18 the bars for 17 and 17.5V are missing. You can get a higher resolution reading of the battery voltage using the digital display used in Tour Mode.
When the engine is running battery voltage should vary between 12.6V and 15.5V depending on the battery state of charge.
