Default 0-120 with and without supercharger

I have a GS M7. Is it typical to only gain a second from installing a supercharger with an additional 100whp/100torque from stock? Car dynoed 500whp/500torque
1st (1st-4th gear), 3rd (3rd gear pull) , and 4th( 3rd to 4th gear pull) pic are w/sc, 2nd pic without. Can someone share similar runs with their stock LT1 to compare?
My Car stock did a 55-125 in 10.8 seonds and SC did 8.7Sec. Is that any good?

Traction is always gonna be an issue when timing from a dead stop.
Better comparison to see gains in power would be the 60-130 type pulls.
I may be jaded, but 500/500 seems low for any blower add on?

so most people install headers and custom tune yielding above 540HP/520Tq. Edelbrock advertises 520rwhp/500 Tq. but i have the 91 octane canned tune. So as advertised/.

I didn't do a 60-130 stock, but i did a 55-125 (since it wouldnt track to 130) in the attached photo above. and a 3rd gear pull 30-100. (also above). Edelbrock Supercharger is the only mod.

Peak HP/Tq increase doesn't indicate much. The engine doesn't run at the peak HP or Tq rpm all the way through that speed range. Even if you shift at redline the engine speed will still drop at least 1200 rpm. Look at the difference in HP and Tq through the rpm range and see the overall gain under the curve is.

Stock except the Edelbrock on 91 octane? Your times are not surprising at all.

It feels more powerful, but surprised the times are so close. Keep in mind I have no experience of these things to know if those times are good. A 12 second car is much different than a 10 or 11 second car. I told myself if I could bolt on this SC and trap above 120 in the quarter mile instead of the advertised 116mph I would be happy because it would be as fast as my Gen 3 Viper

From what I have seen, this is in line with what's expected more or less - considering we don't know the exact SC model and how aggressive the tune is.
I'd suggest you look at comparing to base Z06, since they wheel dyno at low to mid 500's Hp wise. And the main difference between your GS and Z06 is that SC.

And with the M7 it will depend a lot on how you shift also. I've looked at some of my own data from PDR (I suggest Pi-toolbox), and I can see on the days I'm being more "smooth", there can be a dip in accel that's a good 0.3-0.5 seconds each shift. Where if you use the full throttle shift feature our cars have, the engine controller tries to squeeze this as much as possible.
Have a look at your data, check your longitudinal accel curves.

The Edelbrock package as is with the canned tune, is conservative. LT1 pistons and boost don't go together very well which is why these companies are very conservative. Put in some LT4 fuel parts an run E, then you can add timing and a little more boost. A cheaper alternative is to add Meth and you can do the same.

But on the canned tune and 91 octane, its going to be limited.

8.7 55-125 seems slow for a blower car. my full weight basic bolt on ss 1LE (m6) camaro did 60-130 in the 8.4-8.5 range.

i know that the supplied tune for the aftermarket blowers is very conservative. a competent tuner can get quite a bit out of them in terms of power and safety both.

I have an ECS supercharger, kooks long tubes, catless x pipe , B&B fusion axel back. Mine dyno'd at 556 hp with a modest tune. My car used to ping when I got on it, which wasn't very often and with after the header install and tune, no ping ever. I'm guessing the tuner pulled back timing.
