Default Strength of stock differential output shafts"stub shafts"

What type of power do some of you guys have that these stock"stub shafts are holding up too,"DRAG RACING GUYS"lol.. yeah I know the spider gears are weak but besides that anybody running wavetrac with stock studs shafts ... or it's a must to do 300m shafts after the spider situation Is taken care of???? "ELSD DIFFS".. I think shafts might be little stronger in non elsd diff..

After doing my modified diff/spiders, I broke one of my stock stubs at around 920rwhp. Replaced with the DSS 300m but haven't made any passes yet.

Hey Dave, what did you do to your rear diff/spider setup?

Ed Urcis (a member) modified and had it machined to accept 4 c6 spider gears. It's lasted numerous passes since he did it a year or so ago.

Were you able to order 2 more gears? Didn't know if that part number was in stock or not?

I actually bought a whole Z06 rear diff center from a forum member. So I have the gears and pin from that to combine with mine.

Only 2 got sent to rpm that where not broken, ANT got one and I got the other. We are doing 4 c7 spiders, and both shafts will be .804 dia. And they will have the 300m shafts

I have the rpm diff with the wave track and broke the 300M 2 weeks ago and I those are the 300m from the drive shaft shop... Now they are using the stock stub shafts in the wave track units. Tim King has ones that are 30% stronger than the 300m from the DSS

The DSS stubs are junk. many of us gong fast with these have broken the DSS units. Tim king has a stub set we are going to be testing that looks promising. I wish we could fit a 9'' on the A8 that would be the ticket.

I think you need to call Tim King for them and have a shop install the stub shafts into the unit... I ended up selling my wavetrac and built a8 for a glide and 9"... Super happy I did....

I have a 4 pinion setup for sale, what kind of diff do you currently have? Also, FYI, nobody can build it for you. There were a finite number of them made and nobody is currently making them.
