Stock intake, can it be improved?
My G8 intake could be worked on and flow better than the FAST intakes and am wondering if anything can be done to our stockers as well?
If so is there a writeup or areas that can be worked on for improvement?

Yeah, I'm wondering if Rick Crawford has started tinkering with the LT1 intake. He could work some magic on the ol' L76/LS3 intakes. (I used to own a modified G8 GT too, but never got around to installing a RC intake )

I was on the G8 board.....until it started getting childish. Have not been there for a year or better.
Hopefully somevody here has tried it. If not i just might be the first.

Yes, it can be improved. I do it all day every day. Expect 10-17rw depending on the rpm.
And no, Rick Crawford is not messing with the LT1 stuff as of yet. He has been sending his LT1 guys to me.

Take this post as purely informational. I am not in anyway shape or form promoting my product. But since I have done the most extensive dyno and track testing on the subject I would like to answer your question. Apparently other people on this site don't like me posting on the subject.
The stock MSD is a waste of money pure and simple on bolt on cars. Once you add ported heads it will make some more power up top but won't be much faster down the track much at all. The MSD looses too much TQ down low and it's HP increases don't show up to 6,000 rpm. Actually the stock MSD never makes more power than my ported IM. It just catches up around 6K and holds a lesser number longer.
Here are three dyno graphs of back to back testing on the same dyno same day on different cars.
Now, the ported MSD did show gains on the dyno once I put my ported heads on the car. But it barely showed out at the track. Here is the dyno graph and time slips overlaid to show my point. My car was set up to benefit the ported MSD. I have a 4C converter. The top slips are the ported MSD, the bottom slips are my ported stocker.
