Danny of Lethal Performance took the new Z06 to track in Sealy. spun his way to 11.1, this car defiantly has more in it, cant wait to see it run with some better traction.

SO at least it is barely faster than a c6z06 because on paper it would be a step backwards. Even if its just a little.
Personally I wish there was a c6 zo6 there to compare. I had no doubt the viper would destroy it. its NA vs heat soak.

That particular car is much quicker than that. You lose a lot of ET when spinning the tires like that. With a decent hookup, I believe it should run in the 10.80's at least with those drag radials.

Mine would shift at 5500 until I reached 2000 miles then it went up to 6500. It was a 2200 mile trip home from dealer. A8 transmission

Good point with the autos it very well could (and I guess does) limit you. The manual trans just has a light in the tach but it doesn't stop you from passing it.

So you're saying at full throttle, your A8 wouldn't redline until you had 2000 miles on your car?

Yes and it started with all shifts and then as the miles built up it only did it on the lower gears, now no issue.
