The factory GM harness has always had enough room to make the connection for our system instal. However, just to give people a little extra wiggle room to have during the instal, and speed up the instal, this extension has been added to all systems.

Even if you don't have our S/C system, and are looking to make a custom CAI, or something else you can purchase this harness as a stand alone item from our technical service staff, using the following part number.

Any discount for customers that have your C7 system that didn't get the harness?

Technically everyone that didn't get one, did get a big discount. (Since those systems were sold during introduction pricing)

Also since the system can be installed without this item its not really a retrofit piece. The only retrofit piece at this time is the silicon hoses, for those few systems that got rubber on the blower discharge side.

We had feed back from a few dealers, that expressed that it would be easier to use this MAF extension so they could move the tubing around a bit more to hide the meter. (Right now the meter has to point towards the OEM harness to reach) So since it wasn't much of a cost to have made, we decided to have them done.

Haven't installed my kit yet, got rid of my 2014 and have a 2015 on order. Is it worth buying this harness?

Unless you are wanting to rotate the metal tube to hide the MAF plug, there really is no reason to need it. As we said, its more of just a "we have it, it makes it a touch easier, its cheap, why not" addition to the kit. But it will come in handy for a few people making custom tubing, Cai's, etc. Hence why we listed it as a separate part number.
