Power "cigarette" plug and accessory plug in console
Both stopped providing power. Thought it was a blown fuse. Checked fuse location # 23--5 Amp in engine bay. That fuse and all other fuses seemed to test good. Anybody know if that is the correct fuse location and whether I'm missing something ?
C7 2014.
Seemed to happen right after plugging a iphone charger in the cigarette outlet.
Thanks
Bruce

Wow...they didn't make it easy to get to the battery or rear fuses did they? I understand replacing a head light bulb is a real treat.

I've tried to gently pull the carpet up
The carpet only comes up about 10 inches to the left of the battery and maybe 6 inches into the center. Not enough to get to the fuses. I imagine that something has to be removed to allow more of the carpet to lift. I guess that this is going to be a dealer job. Crazy that they made access to a fuse box so difficult

I've read a few posts where the rear fuse access has been justified with, "Not too often you have to replace a fuse nowadays anyway".
I disagree, at least as far as #37 goes. I would bet the most blown fuse in many cars is the one that feeds the cigarette lighter jack, which is used for all kinds of "accessories" that the average consumer connects to their car!
like...GPSs, music players, accessory lights, fans, coolers, coffee warmers, cell phone chargers, video games, video players, TVs, small metallic objects that might fall in the jack, etc., etc., etc.
Love my Vette, but sometimes you have to call a dumb idea what it is, A DUMB IDEA!
Just my 2 cents,
Ed

I have photos with imbedded instructions for installing a curb detector that includes how to remove panels for accessing the rear fuse panel, so if you are interested please send me a PM with your e-mail address. it makes it easier for me to send them. There are 12 photos, so you will receive 3 e-mails with 4 photos each.
