Default C7 A6 Dyno testing of Bolton's

Since a few members have asked to see Dyno Results of each modifcation on the C7 and there happened to be time to test a few of the common bolt-ons on the Mustang Dyno Id figure I would put a few to the test on a Auto Z51 with NPP exhaust car with 91 octane pump gas

Anyway, 1st was a Strong Baseline Resulting in: Corrected 387whp/382wtq

Next the laptop was connected to get some TUNE ONLY Numbers:
Corrected: 407whp/405wtq

Recently the car has received a set Stainless Works 1.875" Longtubes with the Off-road Xpipe, the car was put back on the MD1100 Mustang Dyno and tuned for the headers:
Corrected: 426whp/436wtq ALL through an Auto on the Mustang Dyno

Next will be an AFE cold Air intake as this car is still using the factory box and paper air filter.

Well, unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today at 103*f. Some Dyno testing was done and hopefully tomorrow we can get a decent pull in the morning I'm trying to start each Dyno pull at 81-84*f IAT temps to keep them fair.

The tuned pull today was at 97*f and resulted in 424whp/432wtq

The unTuned test pull resulted in an AFR error of 7%, so while the car was hitting perfect target at 12.7AFR with the stock air box and filter. The AFE momentum raised the AFR to 13.6:1 in which we aborted the run to do some adjustments

In short I would recommend a tune with the AFE but as how conservative the OE calibration is in the car I'm sure you could get by without it. The Driver Demand adjustments are worth the tune regardless.

And here's some AFE CAI and Stainless Works Longtube Updates with a 91 octane tune on a 2014 a6 C7 (run #1)

Stainless Works LTs and Tune Only (Run #2)

And completely stock (Run #3)

Isn't that on the low side for a stock run? Or are those dyno's typically lower reading? Thanks.

Mustang Dynos typically read lower than most DynoJet models

Mustang dynos can read 10 to 12% lower numbers than a DynoJet.

For an A6 and with those bolt ons, those numbers are pretty close to the Dyno Jet. Anybody with similar bolt ons having around 450-455 rwhp with Dyno Jet results?

I can only imagine the numbers if the car was a manual. My Ported heads, 233/239 cam, Longtubes, fast 92 c5z puts out 463/418 on a 248h series Dyno Jet.

I'm guessing manuals with those Bolt-ons push 460whp 455wtq.

Nice gains on those mods. Does your car have the NPP? I was thinking about getting those same headers and wanted to know what the sound difference was for you.

I'll try and get the videos up today of a drive by and free rev, the car has NPP and with the Stainless works.... ITS AWESOME!!

Catbacks are super pricey so why not go with the headers and pickup a great amount of power and get the sound
