Default Superchargers for C7 Z51

I am considering a supercharger for my C7 Z51. I use the car for street use only.

I can have it installed in MN or FL.

I have the following questions.
Best superchargers for my car and driving needs.
Warranty issues?
Installers.
Prices and extras that I should consider.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rick

ECS, A&A, and Procharger have kits out. All will have a effect on the factory power train warranty. Edelbrock has a kit coming out, not out yet.

Only you can answer what is best for your driving style/needs. The centri blowers are all similar in power/performance. I like the ECS kit for the customer service, performance and value.

Nothing extra is needed but headers add ~30-40hp on a blown car and meth is a great add on for a bit more power or just keeping things safe/cool.

No idea about install shops in MN (DRM maybe?), but Matt@FSP is in Florida and one of the largest/best ECS installers around. Redline is also down there.

We have been using the A&A kits with great success. Heres one we did with only engine mods are headers and a supercharger.

Nice!!!
IMO!
If you compare each aspect of the kits the A&A kit shows to be the one to buy!

Blower Bracket uni-mount type. New design is head and tails better then the other 2 lighter more solid!

Intercooler The intercooler inself and mount and integral air "scoup" in the best design Hands down! No downsides!
You block the cooling tract and your cooling will suffer!

Charge piping. Way better to have hard tube the whole way!

Has a new honeycomb stabilizer inside the main tube. Andy's newest change.
helps rid of any surge in the air and allows better MAF reading. Add up to smoother response!
Andy mailed me the whole new tube. I put it in!

Balancer. Even GM puts a new balancer on the new Z06.
So does A&A, Just a way better way than the add-on pulley unit other's use!

Retains stock air box and lid! Nice to have the cool air from the fender.

Nothing "cheap used by A&A"

They even popped in a new heavier duty crank seal. Very easy with the balancer off!

Stock Lt1 seal is pretty light duty compared!

Look into FSP or Red Line Motorsports depending on where in FL, there aren't too many installers in Mn.

They both have great pricing on ECS kits and have installed a lot of them.

Do some research on here and you will see what supercharger kit most of the "heavy hitter" shops use.

Joe isn't a supporting vendor for this site so he can't post prices/info/advertise/etc on the open forum.

There are several packages to chose from. Just depends on your specific needs and goals.

When was this change incorporated into the A&A kit? Would kits produced in the last month have had stabilizer's included?

I would avoid Edelbrock's kit. My car has been on the rack at the installers waiting on a tune that will allow it to work. They shipped it without the tune in the programmer and are having issues getting one to the installer. My car is useless at this point, waiting on something that should have been done before they sold the unit. I should have drove it home Thursday. Very poor planning, never again!

I have had my kit for few months and A&A sent the new revised tube.
Kits last month would be close. From the last week or two I would say yes. I would ask if yours has it!

I live in Tampa and have an ECS kit on mine. FSP (Florida Speed and Power) in Bradenton does the work on my car and have been very happy with them.

I have the ECS kit on mine and have run the car very hard. Did a best of 153 MPH at the 1/2 mile event and my car has 9890 miles on her. No problems yet and still drives like a stock car. I would highly recommend you also install meth to get the most out of your supercharged vette.
