Default *Dyno* VMax Motorsports C7 Production CNC Ported Throttle Body Results

Few weeks ago our buddy Oddjob had come down here to donate his car for some dyno thrashing! Pete, and Chris @ VMax Motorsports also came down with the production version of the VMax CNC C7 ported throttle body. If you have been in the LSx motors before, you will know the name VMax as he has provided tons of CNC throttle bodies for the previous LSx cars.

All tests were performed on the same day. Baseline mods were LMR tune and LT headers.

We also have a video that I will post up a bit later today!

More evidence that porting actually does have a tangible gain. Thanks, Matt.

We have seen around these same gains, our biggest pet peeve of the C7 is the parking lot low throttle response is terrible, this definitely livens it up without having to adjust pedal pos. in the tune!

Absolutely agree with you, Matt. Hard to drive <10mph with a blower and the stock TB. Much improved when ported.

Hard to drive under 10mph anywhere with the ECS blower

We will be doing some testing on a ECS centrifigal setup with this TB, we are interested to see the results also on a EForce setup if anyone is local and wants to do some testing let us know on the EForce. We have the ECS kit covered

I can say for sure that the ported throttle body made the car feel a ton better. You certainly feel the increased throttle response. I also noticed that the car felt like it pulled smoother thru the rpm range. A huge improvement over the stock throttle body for sure. I can only imagine the improvement you will see with the blower on there.

I let Matt drive it first and he took it for a little spin, I got in it next and proceeded to rip thru the gears down the street right out of the parking lot Felt good for sure

That's me!

Makes you wonder why the hell I'm putting so much money into the car doesn't it? Me, too.

I think Oddjob was a little disappointed as to how I drove it when I left, he had to show me some tire spin and rowing gears !

LOL, I remember reading your 1st posts about keeping her all stock, then just a blower with headers, then maybe meth, then maybe a cam, then maybe ported heads, LOL. The quest for more power and thrills NEVER ends, my friend.

I know, I made an Excel sheet yesterday (never do that, it makes you queasy) and thought back to those early days.

What a sickness this always becomes. Selling one of the other cars to support this one now, not that it helps much.

Sorry for the sidejack, Matt.

I have had V Max ported TB on 2 of my C6s and a Pete Incaudio on my other C6 and my current CTS V by Tony Mamo, I will also have a V max on my new C7 Z06 Or Stingray next year, I really don't know if I gained any HP but just the throttle feel "Response" Is worth the price alone in my opinion, It is so Crisp. I let my buddy take a ride in my C6 with the V max he went home and bought him one, lol. Great product.

Guys right now the introductory pricing is $150 + your core (Or $130), OR $280 with a brand new core (You keep your core we use new GM core for porting)... We have THREE units on the shelf right now, we would highly prefer to install them locally here. If you come up to us for installation, we will install for FREE and take your core at same time here so total cost out door is $150 + Florida S/Tax.
