I think the plan will be to maximize low-end power, but may have to give up some of the high end in the process.
Since it's a DD and not a track car, that was my request. Now to see what can be done.

Good luck with a safe transit to and from. Once its there its in good hands so I am sure the result will be great. Now you have to time to think about the monster you'll be getting back.

Todd, the hauler they use, was a really great guy. He has hauled around 8 of these according to what he told me today. Already knew about MRC stalks, etc. and did a great job overall.
With the more expensive cars in there, I'm sure I'll be just fine - mine's replaceable, after all! Those others are very much not.
The good part is that mine comes straight off, which makes me feel way less nervous. Let's hope for the same coming back.
In the mean time, I'm supposed to finish up one of my other MINIs to sell..... but it's hotter than a bitch right now, and I'm finding myself lacking the motivation to do that.

Congrats on the build, Keep us posted on the progress and pics are always welcome. What Cray wheels did you go with? color? Your Ride looks nice really starting to like the blue I think the Black wheels set it off. What are your current mods?

[QUOTE=Theta;1587193187]Went with the Cray Brickyards, matte black, 20/19 w/ Toyo 888s in 315 and 265.
I have been been looking at 315/20 R888's for my car, but I'm concerned how they will fit. Can you share what back spacing you used, if you will need to remove the brake ducts and will the stick out beyond where the stock tires are at?
Thanks, and good luck with your project.

I sure will - I believe after speaking with others that no changes are made to the rear ducts on that tire size, and the +73 ET is the correct spacing. Shouldn't stick out very much at all from my calculations, but we'll know soon enough.

Sean, I know it has only been a few days any info or pics of your build? Looking forward to hear more info on your Vengeance Racing Build. And your wheel and tire combo. VR seems to be a high quality Top notch Shop.

I think you'll see quite a few pics in the coming weeks... trying to decide on a few different build options from where we started/planned.

What HP/TQ numbers are you shooting for? If I go with a new C7 I am thinking if I could come away with 600 to 650 RWHP That would work for me and be able to hang with or beat most everything on the street, I said MOST as there are the guys with 1k +++ HP/TQ Those are the 1% crazy ***** lol. I will follow your build and take notes.

This may sound like an *** remark but I promise its not:
Do you plan on doing anything with the car outside of street driving it? Drag or any kind of racing?
You got 19/20 with +73 offset on the wheels? Im trying to find some 18s and looking at the crays for track tires.

No tracks around, and the nearest strip is in Illinois. I got addicted to numbers like I did with my LS1s and LS2s...
This car means a lot to me, and I want to make it something special. You can see from my sig that it's dedicated to the memory of my grandfather.
My father and I ordered this car back when I was going through cancer treatments for the first bout. My son hadn't been born yet, but I wanted him to have something in case I didn't make it to remember his dad by. In case I didn't make it, my father was going to pass it down to him.
We ordered it on the day a tornado hit my grandfather's house (I remember that specifically) in one of the worst storms our area had seen in decades. Thankfully he was unharmed, but it was a close one. Fast forward, my son was born August 8th, 2013, the car showed up on October 2, 2013... I went through a second bout of cancer over the winter but did the SC build anyway as a way to pass the time.
Over the weeks I spent with my grandfather in the ICU, I told him about everything that was being done to the car, etc. and he got a big kick out of it (because he knew it was something I enjoyed, and it meant something to me). I brought it to the hospital, tuned and running like a beast, the day before he died - he said he could hear it from the parking lot and it made him laugh. He told me to enjoy it, have fun with it, and be careful. I keep his set of wings (Navy officer) with me in the car so I always have a co-pilot covering my ***.
So long story short (sorry for all that), it's something that means a great deal to me. I want to make it something to be proud of, and something that stays around long enough for my son to (eventually) drive it once he's able to handle that sort of power. I'll probably go long before that with my poor health, but it's something he'll always have.
So, with that being said, it's overkill and I don't need it. But now we're going to raise a lot of hell with it and go way past our initial goals!
