Thanks I was wondering about that. I figured they would never get a water proof/tight fit with clips.


Somehow mine got scuffed on the driver side. I have no idea what could have done it. They look clearcoated so I figured I might as well try to buff first, if I screw it up just replace.

I can offer an explanation - mine was scratched to hell by a rock that somehow got thrown up into the sill while I was driving.

I have no explanation for it, but it happened nonetheless. Hit the underside of the door and lodged its way in there. That pissed me off to no end, so I'm ordering the 'Stringray' replacements (or perhaps CF depending on price). No guarantees it won't happening again, though.

Kermit at C Magic suggested that I use Goo Gone on the scuffed sill plates. Worked like a champ!

Mine got a couple of nice scratches when the Dealer had my car. I am going to replace mine. Glad I saw this how to
