Default Thinking of going to the drag strip - clutch/DR's

I haven't been drag racing in forever and have a few Q's.

How is the clutch in the C7 for abuse?

Any issues with DR's and traction breaking things?

Will the clutch stand up to higher RPM launches on sticky tires?

Cheapest wheel I can get for DR's and what size can/should I run?

This is a great question that I don't know the answer to either, but I also would like to know. My car is new, under 500 miles, once I hit 500 I'm going to the track with it

BUMP

Does anyone know the answer?

I would wait until you hit like 1500 honestly.. Read your manual and it will tell you why :-)

The clutch is definitely up to the task of taking abuse, here are some videos of it in action...
And here it is in other LS platforms with our modified billet flywheel getting hot lapped/launched off the limiter and cutting 1.4s on slicks:
Cheapest wheel is a rear C5Z06 18x10.5" and I'd recommend a 315/30r18 Hoosier DR, hope that helps. Good luck and report back with your times!
