Default LMR Procharged C7 makes 565rwhp

We just finished up another C7 supercharged entry. This car is utlizing the Procharger system and Long Tube Headers, it made 8lbs on the dyno!

Enjoy!

Looks AND sounds GREAT. A Few questions for clarifications purposes, please:
1) Auto or Manual? (appeared to be an auto)
2) Fuel octane?
3) SAE 5 corrected numbers?
4) ProCharger supplied tune, or custom tune (assume custom, because of headers)?
5) You stated 8 pounds of boost. Is this Procharger's base PCS-1 KIT with the 7-pound pulley?
6) Helical or straight cut gears for the blower?

PS: I could barely see the dyno sheet at the end, where the video cuts off. Can you post a picture of the dyno sheet? Thanks, and great work

I'm confused, wasn't there another thread on here claiming a stock C7 at like 5000 plus feet of altitude made 625rwhp?

This one looks more realistic. Great job guys.

Dyno doesn't give a **** about altitude.

BUT the correction factor type/method makes a BIG difference on boosted cars.

That was a C7 in Colorado done by Corvette Connection. it put down about 623 RWHP SAE; baseline was around 423 RWHP SAE as well. Some were saying that when dynoing on boost at altitude, STD numbers are more realistic.

Just remember that a Dyno is a only a tool. I saw the thread, they were using a smaller pulley, what's hard to believe, more airflow equals more power? Thats how a dyno works.

ProCharger mentioned that they sent a smaller pulley, only because this was at high altitude in Colorado; in order to make the same 7 pounds of boost as it would at sea level. The shop confirmed that boost was measured mechanically at 7 pounds as well.

Yah and high elevation correction factors mess everything up. Nothing like adding 20% to the actual numbers.

I remember you asking for the STD numbers; which they posted. You were the one now that I remember stating that STD correction was more accurate on boosted cars at high altitude.: thumbs:

Let me make a point here.

Whether the car puts down 565 or 595 rwhp, you're still gonna buy the damn supercharger.

Quit playing semantics with dyno #'s that are within 5% of each other.

You want more power? Add more boost or throw in a cam. Problem solved.

Anyone looking beyond 600whp is not looking for that extra 20hp anyways, they are looking for that extra 200.

I laughed because it's true.

I have no idea what I'm putting down but I'm positive it's equivalent (within 5%) to every other kit, and it's fast as hell.

Numbers from "that" car....

SAE Correction:
Stock 423.42rwhp, 428.11rwtq
Blown 623.08rwhp, 556.09rwtq
Gain: 199.66rwhp, 127.98

Standard Correction:
Stock 423.54rwhp, 426.24rwtq
Blown 620.66rwhp, 553.93rwtq
Gain: 197.12rwhp 127.69rwtq

Uncorrected:
Stock 348.01rwhp, 351.87rwtq
Blown 514.07rwhp, 458.80rwtq
Gain: 166.06rwhp 106.93rwtq

No matter what "correction" factor gets used, still rocking a 166-199rwhp gain on a stick car, in altitude, with the stock "canned" tune is pretty dang awesome.

To back up what "C7Pimp" said about someone not really caring about the difference between 565 and 595, we have seen stock BETA cars dyno numbers range from 395rwhp to 424rwhp (stock) which a 29hp variance right there.

Again, WAY to go LMR on putting up a killer video, making good numbers, with a nice smooth graph. Its going to see shops like this really push these cars, can't wait to see more ProCharged cars running around with cams, making big boost!!!

Happy Friday everyone!

This car is an automatic guys, and of course, one of our custom tunes. I think there maybe 1 or 2 other people in the world right now that can tune these cars properly.

I agree 100% with what you are saying sir. I was just trying to do due diligence and answer a question or two that were posted about the "other" car and dyno. Can't wait for you all to release the CARB 50-state version with the ProCharger tune and optional powertrain warranty.

I hope so.......because I want my car tuned the right way. And I hope my tuner is one of them.
