Default Dyno Results of Corsa Extreme and Tune

My car was one of the beta cars for Corsa to design their new exhaust for the C7. I have to admit I don't have a lot of the technical interest a lot of you do, I learn enough to be dangerous!!! Corsa intalls their system and takes the car to Smokies Dyno in Akron Ohio. I've never heard of Smokies but I am really impressed.

The following charts represent the results of the custom tune that Smokies did on the car. I'm sure folks will post what all this means but the short version is if I got it right the stock car ran around 400 HP at the rear axle. The Corsa X pipe and extreme, but mostly the X pipe got 10 HP and the tune got another 16 for a total of 426. None of the charts show the base run, just the results of the tune so its' post Corsa. The tune is not a radical tune and their goal is to balance out the performance. They tell he the car is starving for air so I guess some new intake is on order.

I just loan the car to help the local guys develop product and sorry am only in the details on the surface. But if you want to call Smokies or Corsa I'm sure they would love to chat with ya and share the details.

And here is a link to a couple of pictures and clips of the dyno. Apparently the day the car was on the dyno a few neighboring businesses reported excess noise levels....imagine that!

Depending on temp and altitude, I've seen a lot of stock C7s making between 418 - 422 rwhp.

Nice to see Corsa introducing a system. I really like the Corsa sound. Had one on my CTS-V and it is honestly one of the nicest I've heard.

Whoa! 11.1:1 AFR stock?! Pig rich for NA. But then again with all the testing and development that's gone into the combustion of the LT1, it must be for more of a reason than engine protection.

I see your tune was leaned out to 12.7-12.9:1 AFR at WOT. I wonder if you'd get similar numbers around 12:1 and be a little safer.

These DI engines like to run a little leaner. Even with FI, target AFRs in the low to mid 12s work best.

I guess that makes sense being that DI is more efficient than FI as it is.

Pretty damned confused with all the dyno sheets and purple pieces of paper. However, one of the dyno sheets shows 437.7 hp and 447.5 tq. Is that your vehicle or a different car??? Stock cars are laying down 415ish quite often. For exhaust and a good tune, I would expect at least 25-40 which would make sense with the 437/447 numbers. Please help me understand these numbers,

If the neighbors complaint, it must be just right.

Sorry can't help ya!!! The purple tape is covering my name. I like you all but not enough to put my name out there. It's the same car. Might want to call Smokies and ask for Peter or someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

I know Corsa pulled 400 off the stock car 2 weeks earlier. Peter did say something about in the 2 weeks since the exhaust was installed, and before the tune, the computers in the car adjusted to get more HP then the 400. I think that is shown in the graph with the 3 lines but sorry can't help ya.

lol IM NOT DOING A FLOWMASTER !!!! Just thats what they did on the show.

I will be doing a corsa extreme. B&B is my 2nd choice. Both are amazing exhausts ! But Ive had a few corsas and love the exotic sound of them

and ok good idk why they claimed that was necessary on the show.

The rear facia is extremely easy to remove although most axle back installs don't require removal.
