No, it leaves in a week - very excited! I knew as soon as I wrote that it wasn't the best phrasing, though.
To me, the pedals, wheel, and shifter are your connection to that car, much as the wheels are the connection to the road.
The shifter makes you feel much more 'engaged' with the car, and the driving experience has become much more positive since installing it. I'm sure all here will agree.

1) Always leave something on the table for the Z06/ZR1, and
2) They used the same parts (essentially) from the C6 variant.
MGW also makes a really great product, which helps quite a bit in making the change seem like night & day.

One reason is that it is always a compromise between the shortest throw and the effort it takes to get into reverse and the higher gears. A throw of 2-1/2" is getting pretty short.

Trust us, it can feel much better. The stock shifter loosens in time, but just keep this mod in mind, as it's the first mod I can say without a doubt that every person here feels (very) positive about.

Ok....I've installed a supercharger before but can't get the damn boot off the shift ****. Haha. What am i missing here? I turn it and can't get it drop down even with force. It feels like it should dropm but is catching something and I don't want to force too hard and tear the boot. Any ideas?

If you have it where it's fully twisted over (just catching on the way down), there's a chance the plastic runner or guide has a burr or something of the like.
Any luck since the last post?

Yes, thanks for asking!
I guess what happened is there is a rubber ring underneath that popped off or wasn't on good. So when I was lifting up on the metal ring it really wasn't turning....the boot was just sliding around. I got to it underneath. It was locked up pretty good but I got it off.
All done tearing everything down. Now I have to wait until the shifter gets delivered tomorrow for reassembly!

Mgw
I just got my C7 back from having an MGW shifter installed. Wow, this thing is amazing. It gives the car a totally different feel. Now it feels like a European sports car. It's tight!

Wow, if I did something to my C7 that made it feel European I would rip it out and destroy it.
