Default Where Can I Get C7 Competition Sport Bucket Seats?

.

My new C7 Z51 Corvette was not equipped with the Competition Sport bucket seats.

I would be interested in knowing if these are available aftermarket or through a dealer.

How, where & how much?

Any problems or concerns for making this type of swap?

Thank you.

AVETTE did the swap, I'd ask him.

PartsTaxi (when it existed) quoted me $3,800 per seat. You cannot, apparently, buy a seat... they have to buy all of the parts to assemble one.

It would be worthwhile to keep an eye on the Parts For Sale section. You might find someone who would swap. At $3800 per seat, you would be better off going to Carrivagio or APSIS for modded seats...it would end up being a little less expensive.

Also, would you need the whole comp seat? Aren't the seat base's the same? If so you'd only need the upright part of the seat.

Where do you live? I am considering swapping to regular seats. My shoulders/lats are too broad and I have to squeeze into them like my shifter kart.

I am in San Antonio, Texas if anyone is interested in this. I have the tools, you just need the cash.

OUCH, $3,800 per seat?

Makes that option price of $1995 seem like a smoking deal.

For the record, the seats are amazing in person! The side airbag is a little goofy to look at, but obviously it has to be there for OEM reasons.

Correct... the frame is identical. You can actually do a conversion if you have all of the right parts and the skill to do so... for WAY less $$.

Most tuners would just go with something like Recaro seats:

Convert yours to comp seats. I just finished converting mine. Here is the thread.

Nice job.
I wish I had that kind of time to do that myself.

I would start looking at wrecking yards. Usually you can get a good deal on the complete package (seat, track, etc). If you need a wiring harness it might be available as well. Parts will run about half of retail and sometimes even less.
