Default Texas Mile Results

3 passes in my C7 / Novi supercharged 7psi, and Kooks Headers

149.1 1/2 mile 173.6 mile
149.2 1/2 mile 173.8 mile
149.1 1/2 mile 171.9 mile (20 mph head wind)

Pretty consistent

Going to look at a 9-10 psi pulley
Meth injection
Re-tune

Try for 180 next time.

Nice job! I bet you would be near or at the 200mph mark if you took the restrictor out all together and added meth.

How much would that increase the boost Doug? Not familiar with this restrictor plate....or why it is on there. I just pm'd you about a smaller pulley to go to 10psi....potentially

The restrictor plate is there to increase low end tq. It essentially gives you the low end of a higher boosted car, while capping off the top end from over boosting.

Without the plate, isn't the stock pulley going to push about 12psi?

Numbers seem low... What kind of power are you making?

575/540

car has good low/mid range but higher end kinda sucks...needs a cam swap for higher end runs. GM didn't make it for high end.

Gearing may not be the best either.

Wow I was expecting a higher number. Last year at Wanna go Fast in the Georgia mountains I pulled 144.5 with my 04 NA Viper.

149 in the 1/2 isn't bad, and the rule of thumb is you add 30mph to your 1/2 and that will typically be your mile number...should have been about 180. Gearing/cam...something keeps it down on the big end.

Was this 1/2 mile? Because a stock C6 for comparison can do 150-160 in the mile....

I believe we were at 3000 above sea level. We will see what my C7 can do at Chicago. Hopefully I will have my blower by then. And yes it was a half mile event

Unless you're short shifting, I imagine you're making the shift from 4th to 5th after the half mile trap. At those speeds you generally loose some mph during the shift unless it is super quick as you're fighting so much wind resistance. FWIW a customers C6Z we had there went 174 with 525rwhp, it too makes the 4-5 shift the 2nd half and there was a headwind which wasn't helping.

149 half is pretty stout. My ZR1 and Callaway GS both run right at that. ZR did 180 at the mile, Callaway ran about what you ran at the mile (it did 178 with a tail wind at one event, but I don't count that as representative; it's a low/mid 170 car).

4th to 5th shift has to be real quick, or you scrub off some speed. And it's a harder shift to make than the earlier ones.

Running basically 150 at the half is nothing to sneeze at. That's moving on out.

No sorry thats very bad at your power level. We do half mile events here in the midwest now, and my GS ran 144mph bone stock. Bone stock 12 C6 manual base car ran 144 also. You are making 175 more hp and you are only 5mph faster. We have stock Z06s running 150mph+ in the half.
