FWIW Norm Boutot's Z06 was running low 9s on motor and stock suspension with 18" wheels, so more sidewall would be nice but not an absolute necessity.

315s unless unusually narrow would be too wide on most x10" rims. That would be a lot of bulge and slopped sidewall. If you look at the Hoosier A6s for example their 315 is a x11-12" recommendation.
I've done a few sets of these already. I've reached out to get some pics of them for you guys!

They are stock OEM GM C5Z06 4x10.5" (all rear wheels). No install issues and no clearance issues. Also no spacers are required to run this setup.

Do you have thoughts about a "preferred" setup for track/road course driving? Have you tested same size x 4 for handling and turn-in characteristics? All opinions or experience welcomed.

We have two sets of 18x10 square setups out there with 305s all the way around. They were just delivered last month, so I'm not sure of any real world data yet. But, for tire wear and true 4 wheel rotation, it's the best way to go. These 18x10s only weigh 18lbs each as well!

A 28" tire is tall for the fender wells. No issues with the fender lips, but when loaded down on the dyno, they do scrub the fender liners directly behind the rear wheels where the lower hatch area is behind the trays. If you don't have big rear gears or 600+hp though you'll do just fine with the MT305s on these rims. Let me know if you want a set
